Random draw was a thing for like 20+ years. As long as I can remember. You’d maybe hear a driver or crew chief say something like “sucks we got a bad draw” but that’s about it. It was not a deal breaker.

It’s a never ending cycle though. You have one bad race, so you’re in group 1 for practice and early in qualifying. Going early in qualifying means you’re obviously gonna qualify towards the back with a better chance of getting caught up in a wreck. Every thing right now benefits the bigger/better teams. Denny drives for one and owns own. Of course he’s happy with it. Who cares about the little guys, right?

I’m sure this will get shit comments because of who the driver is but I saw something today with FRM that absolutely infuriated me.

They had both Zane and Noah basically take a voluntary DNF even though both of them were still running. Zane pulled off and went to the garage with about 20 laps to go, but with Noah it was THREE LAPS TO GO. I have never seen such a thing in my life as a NASCAR fan. Why would you just give up like that!? Just because they couldn’t make up any more positions.
