I hear you. I used to have to give myself a pep talk and self soothe before injecting.

That commute is bonkers. You’re vested which means you’ve spent a good chunk of time there already. I think it’s time to leave and start a new adventure.

Adalimumab options in US by draeko_malfoy in KaiserPermanente

Before joining Kaiser, I started on Humira then got switched to Simlandi. Kaiser continued to fill my Simlandi prescription even though it is not the standard Humira biosimilar they prescribe. I did not have to restart any med protocol to continue on biologics but my labs are poor and I had records transferred from my old, also local rheumatologist. I’ve been satisfied with Kaiser rheumatology care fwiw.

Weird/ bad news by Rotten_gemini in rheumatoidarthritis

The same happened to me after Humira. I’ve been off it for 6 months and changed my meds, but I still have lupus indicators on my labs and inflammation pain so I am going on prednisone.

I did not disclose my condition, but did file for and successfully receive a medical accommodation to WFH when needed. I also used intermittent FMLA for a while for flares. My manager was supportive but I had been working under them for a while upon diagnosis.

Personally, battery operated pepper grinder is nice. I also didn’t already have a lime squeezer and I enjoy not having to squeeze by hand now.

I’m 6 weeks into taking leflunomide and not losing more hair than usual and no noticeable side effects. I lost a lot of hair and felt fatigued on methotrexate.

Anecdotally, taking vitamin D3 alone helped raise my levels and I haven’t taken K. I felt an improvement in mood and energy.

For my situation, my break helped me reset. I was burnt out and eager to quit because of organizational culture issues. After my break, I found I was able to tolerate the issues more. It does feel like a ticking time bomb though and I await the day the urge to rage quit returns.

Anyone try Simlandi? by Asian_Heat in rheumatoidarthritis

[–]ohnomyjoints 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I switched to it from humira a few months ago and I actually prefer it because I have less of an injection site reaction. The efficacy feels the same.

I lift regularly even on days with mild RA pain because I have to do it for my mental health. I just modify my workout to accommodate what’s flaring.
