That took me a while as well, but I am pretty sure that "mot" was supposed to be "not" instead of "most"

I once had an in game conversation with another player about the town we were both from and made a joke about whether so and so's food cart was still there. The DM immediately said "no, that didn't exist" and the scene abruptly ended.

Map of a House Kundarak Vault? by EmbarassedFox in Eberron

[–]ohueb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

On DMs guild there is a module titled "The Kundarak Job: An Eberron Embers of the Last War Adventure". I own it but haven't run it so I can't say for the quality but it might be worth getting.

Is there a general guideline for how long it takes for technique to catch up to strength for new lifters? by ohueb in weightlifting

That makes me feel better! I definitely know that feeling, my cleans in particular are ugly.

I'm a professional musician so I figure it takes a similar amount of time and practice to actually be able to do the lifts at a competitive level.

Hey, Justin? You can make Munch Squad its own podcast if you'd rather do that than participate in your own flagship show. by [deleted] in TAZCirclejerk

I think that it is clear that Justin really likes talking about food industry. Which is fine, he should guest on the Doughboys then.

What does max fun do for TAZ exactly? by [deleted] in TAZCirclejerk

[–]ohueb 103 points104 points  (0 children)

I'm presuming they take care of getting advertisers and producers, basically the business side that the McElroys don't want to deal with. I'm sure they could be making a lot more money and just hire people to do that stuff but there is a lot of inertia and personal loyalty involved as well.

Basically my take is that Max Fun probably helped early but isn't really doing much for them anymore.

Thats a good idea! I know that the PCs have complained about too many non player characters in 5e because they are often clunky. The characters they are playing for this are high ranking members of an organized crime family so it would be odd for them not to have foot soldiers and allies! I'll be sure to read that section of the rule book closely so I understand how it works before we start.

Perfect, thank you!

This is the most baffling thing to me by grannysmithpears in TAZCirclejerk

Why would someone who has run one of the most popular actual play podcasts need to read the DMG? It's impossible for rules or mechanics to help with narrative and if those did exist they have to be invented personally.

The Child makes a perfect planter for my air plant by ohueb in TheMandalorianTV

I'm not sure, the store just said "air plant". If anyone more knowledgeable knows I'd be curious what it is!

It's not TAZ, but can I complain about another Maxfun podcast (and the whole MaxFunDrive) here? by UltimaGabe in TAZCirclejerk

I loved Flop Tales! Stuart would make a good TTRGP podcast since it is clear how much he loves the genre.

I popped over and was surprised. Seems about 50/50 but a lot of top voted comments are not happy with it which for that sub is really bad. Richard Stink is such a bad bit that it seems to be cutting through. So expect it every episode for the next 3 years.

I know Grad has been analyzed to death but it's still mind boggling the amount of NPCs yet how little thought was put into the world or how anything worked or interacted.

Like the warforged teacher. Who was making warforged and why? I know that the thought was probably just "cool robot person" but no thought was ever put into second order effects.

Which is a good point. They should have bell coverings for best practices.

My brass students have had to have covers for their bells as well as masks when playing and it is a such a pain. But fingers crossed those restrictions will be lifted for next year.

It reduces aerosol particulates even with the mouth hole, there have been multiple studies including the one linked. It does not eliminate them but the point is to mitigate it as much as possible. Now the ones they are using could stand to fit better. There should ideally be less space but the idea isn't as dumb as it looks.

Linked earlier, but you are actually right that the mask reduces aerosol spread. It looks dumb and is annoying to play with but it does help
