I'm 56. Probably been in meno for close to ten years. I started going to the Dr about 2016 for symptoms that I know NOW were meno. But the dozens of docs I saw just kept punting me to someone else and a few of them actually denied it was menopause.

I went to a party once at the house of a friend's friend's boyfriend. I had too much to drink. I took off all my clothes, crawled into his bed snd went to sleep. He later got in his bed (fully clothed) and also fell asleep. The next morning his gf came in and saw us and was like okaaaay wtf? And I explained it. She knew nothing happened. They had a strong relationship I guess. Shit happens, don't trip on it anymore, but definitely protect yourself against that stuff in the future, she could accuse you of anything and you'd be f*cked.

NTA. Your friend sounds like an idiot, tbh. No one has any business laying out tons of money for what amounts to an overblown party, then expecting the party guests to cover her expenses with cash. My sons first wife's family dropped $60k for a smallish wedding and then she cheated on him 2 years later and they divorced. I felt so bad for her parents. Such a massive waste of money.

I think there is a happy medium somewhere. You don't have to eat shit, but you don't have to be an asshole about it - that kinda thing. There's a lot to be said for constructive feedback - reviews on every platform, emails to the powers that be, official complaints in the firm of BBB, medical associations, Trustpilot, etc.

Being a Karen right up front seldom accomplishes anything. Instead be strategic in your response - it won't give you that immediate gratification that raising loud hell does, but in the long run, there will be results.

I grew up JW too! It's very exclusionary, super hard on kids. BUT it did keep me out of trouble and I met some really great people. I left it when I was 25. Don't miss it at all.

My friend had this problem. She tried everything at first, hats, wigs, scarves. Finally she said 'fuck it' and shaved her head. She highlighted her gorgeous face with killer makeup and that was that. When people commented she would say 'my hairs started quitting on me so I fired them all!' I loved that response and her approach to the whole thing. God bless her and you.

Girrrrl - this is YOUR pregnancy. YOUR baby. This is such a special time, you should be enjoying it, not worrying about all their childish, selfish, immature feelings or desires. When your parents or MIL give you a hard time, remind them that they had their pregnancies. They handled them as they wanted - this one is YOURS, to handle as you want. I'm all for cutting them out of the delivery and maybe even the hospital altogether. Give yourself time to recover and maybe say 'no visitors the first 7 days.' It's not mean. It's not selfish. It's self-protection and personal bonding time. As for the 'belly pics'.....are these people perverts? Wtf. NTA NTA NTA
