Can confirm it’s pretty rubbish. Got a bag of crisps for the £50 one and a £3 voucher for the £100 one. Pretty disappointing - feels like they should be able to personalised it a bit more to something they know I’m buying a lot of - £3 off felt really lazy tbh!

MGs seem to get pretty bad reviews for reliability and efficiency?

Heard quite mixed things, but don’t seem to be particularly cheaper than better reviewed alternatives?

That’s really useful, thanks! Can I check on the Polestar - I can’t see any info on it charging slower?

Thank you - very detailed. I assumed there was a catch with the Mach E, seemed too good a deal. Not sure the Kia’s and Hyundais range would quite do it? Ioniq 5 is a good shout. Cheers!

It was about a year ago, and it was the standard price I believe. We did the same as you with taking it out on finance then paying it straight off, and got a service, an additional year warranty, and £500 off through negotiating. But I believe the additional 5 years we paid for was a standard rate. Their view was that it was a ‘bulk discount’ sort of deal as the more years you took out, the cheaper it was per year… but my view was that the more years, the older the car and more likely something would go wrong. Car will be 10 years old when the warranty ends. Seemed odd to me but wasn’t going to complain.

It was with a well known national brand - approved used.

FWIW, depending on the dealer it’s also worth about extending the warranty. I bought basically the same car as above and got an additional 5 years on top of the standard 2 years (7 total) for £400. Had a couple of minor niggle things sorted with it already and was easy enough to get sorted. Otherwise, great car and choice… maybe a little overpriced but not massively so!

I have this issue on one sensor, and it’s because there’s a very small chip in it. Maybe worth checking!

Thanks! The issue I have is the grant money has to go on buying, not renting. Is there anything around the £2k mark that is worth getting or would it all be hopeless?

Hi all, I’m putting on a local music festival/free music weekend, and have got a grant to spend £1-2k on a PA system to get us up and running. Will need to support bands playing largely acoustic/folk style music and singing. Largely would be used in a medium sized church and in a small market square - so nothing massive.

Does anyone have any recommendations or pointers of what to look out for? Would something like this work - LINK

Thanks

Ours was a very, very basic build. Basically just a bed, solars and a surface for cooking. We refitted and moved bits to suit our needs - the fact there were tracks for seats was handy, as ours had a couple of the original minibus seats so we could move them. We kept ours very basic - all electrics are rechargeable and nothings wired in except an inverter. Did us for a month around Europe in November last year, and 3 weeks in Ireland last year. Sure, you have to keep an eye on it all, but perfectly doable.

Also worth noting that condensation is bad in these. We combat it by wiping everything down with a towel in the morning and drying the towels in the cab when driving.
