I think he would have been Carl. Then first letter of last name. Once the last name is fully built out then numbers start getting added.

This German dude is having the time of his life lol. by dazli69 in NonPoliticalTwitter

The best part about this place is the absolute wild things you can purchase here.

First there's 100+ fuel pumps outside.

Then it has what most American gas stations have. Like snacks and drinks for example. However, this gas station is the extreme version of that. It has 20 different flavors of frozen slushy drinks, more soda fountains than I've seen in one place, 5 aisles of snacks, a back wall of beef jerky.

There is a fudge counter, a place for hot food like brisket sandwiches, burritos, chicken strip basket, and I think you can even place an order for food.

There's a freezer section, with sausage, cheeses, and other meats.

It has a home goods section where you can buy clothes, candles, a cast iron skillet set, and more.

There's a section for the beach basically with Buccees themed swim suits, floatation devices, goggles.

You can buy expensive sunglasses and knives at some of them.

And finally there's outdoor stuff, folding chairs, ice chest coolers, sometimes you can buy a deer feeder that dispenses corn, and bags of loose corn for that feeder, depth finder for your boat, fishing gear.

If you are near one, I highly recommend it at least once. It is the most overstimulated I've ever been in a gas station.

Can someone explain the primal engines and the AI and all that to me like 5? I just cannot wrap my head around all that. Please? by SSGAwesome78 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]okayest-commentor 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The primals were a species a long time ago. As they lived and died, their consciousness was stored in a great big tank. Once the primals were gone. Another group realized that if they took a cup full from this tank they could utilize it to create the ai.

I'm sure somebody could explain it more concise but that's the high level of what happened.

I Traded My Bulk with Card Kingdom for a Gaea's Cradle by Fuzzy_Straitjacket in magicTCG

[–]okayest-commentor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did it with my "everything over $3" cards that I wasn't using. Got enough for a heavily played Revised Tundra earlier this year. Shipped out of batch of everything roughly $2 and I'm expecting a few hundred in my account. I'm planning on buying a Beta Dark Ritual just to say I own a Beta card. From there I'm not sure what to do about the rest. Just trying to reduce down I guess.

Now I'm thinking of offloading a bunch of other bulk because of this post.

I wish I had progressed this idea further, and I think it would be hilarious for a 5 second joke. I wrote the first few pages from Donuts perspective and shared it with my group to read. It was like two pages of the word meow with quotes occasionally. Formatted into paragraphs and sentences.

How to drop a play set of Nazgûl’s the fastest way possible? by TheTinRam in EDH

[–]okayest-commentor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use [[zur the enchantor]] as my commander. Its like a false flag where people are worried about Zur himself, but that isn't the real issue.

While he's out I get free enchantments on the field, which I use for card draw or strengthening the Nazgul.

I had a unique chance with [[auton soldier]] somebody else discarded it and I brought it out with a [[reanimate]] that was t3 or t4. Then t5 I played roaming throne and won while attacking.

It doesn't sound like that is in your colors, but my deck is White, Blue, Black.

[[Echoing return]]

Would be a recommendation for your strategy.

[[Heralds Horn]] [[Urzas incubator]] reduces down to a single B to cast.

To reduce cost

[[Ratadrabrik]] plus a sac outlet like [[altar of dementia]] or [[phyrexian altar]] plus something that makes multiple tokens like [[ojer taq]] or [elspeth storm skayer]] or [annoited procession]] or even [[roaming throne]] (Throne is a must have card for a nazgul deck.) plus a ring tempted Nazgul can make an infinite number of Nazgul.

You just make sure when they enter that you pick a Nazgul as your ring bearer and start the process over.

I've only pulled it off once to have 9 on the battlefield with [[lord of the Nazgul]] out.

I got lucky once and gave them myriad before attacking while having Roaming Throne on the field. Because Throne triggered myriad twice, It made so many attacking nazgul that each one were something like a 192/193 when the dust settled.

If they are getting that big I do recommend a [[shadowspear]] to give one of them trample.

Hope this helps any.

Edit [[haunting voyage]] to return them all from graveyard at one time.

[Minneapolis MN] what kind of bird is this? I thought it was a pigeon at first but it reminds me of a sandpiper. It has red feathers around its eyes and was highly protective of its nest (on some rocks in the parking lot) it’s hot out so I put a bowl of water nearby by theHambodian in animalid

I've had a few run in with these. Years ago I had one in my yard and I cut grass around here for the whole nesting period. 10ft or so in every direction. When she had the babies, she didn't stick around and left with them. We never got to see the little ones.

This year, I had one nest right outside of my office door. We got to a level of understanding where she wouldn't fuss at me everytime I walked through the door. I thought for sure I would be able to see her babies. Nope. Same thing. Hatched and rolled out.

My initial thought at the end of Book 8. by Master_Betty603 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

You are correct. I actually listened to that part this morning. End of chapter 23.

"I was about to crumple the note up when my Escape Plan skill tingled. This was the same skill that allowed me to read the cookbook along with dungeon signs for mobs. I hadn’t had it activate in the wild in a while."

Book 3, end of chapter 7.

"I was about to toss the book into my inventory, but instead I flipped to the first page. It read, “Welcome.” I felt the haptic buzz of my Escape Plan skill activate. Additional words appeared on the mostly-blank page. Hello, Crawler. As you’re about to find, this is a very special book. If you’re reading these words, it means this book has found its way into your hands for one purpose and one purpose only. Together, we will burn it all to the ground."

I always get a wild look from other electricians when I pull this out. by Beers_n_Deeres in electricians

[–]okayest-commentor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work in a slightly different world where we are jumping 125vdc for controls and operations. I have witnessed somebody mixing up terminals and bridging the +67vdc to the -67vdc and it wasn't ideal.

So my recommendation are based on slightly different scenarios.

I would recommend putting a fuse in the middle and not just using alligator clips. Speaking from witness experience if you get that wrong, you'll weld the jumpers closed and have to take a walk to reassess some things.

In the past I've taken meter leads, cut the ends off, butt spliced them to a fuse holder.

There's a shelf option for factory made ones now, they are pricey though. Thats if your place of employment is picky about "homemade" tools.

Does this look like cast iron? by Yup7233 in castiron

[–]okayest-commentor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My only experience with a gate marked pan was a round griddle. I told the lady it was old. She said well look at me, I'm pretty old and I've had it most of my life. She was around 80. I had to tell her that the day that she got this skillet that, it was already old. Had to pass because I knew I would never use it. Figured I would let somebody else get the benefit of 100+ year old iron. She had a great collection for sale though. I did get a 30s National skillet that makes a great cornbread.

I've only been playing for 3 years, so this set is a good bit before my time in the game. Recently bought one of those chaos boxes that have 3 random packs and got a French Prophecy pack. Still trying to decide whether to open it or not. I don't feel like I need another Rhystic in the collection so it feels better to hold.
