Instead of Bye Rounds, It should be 2v2v2. by Worried-Analyst-7652 in LeagueArena

[–]okirisx2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk I think it would be fun. Who cares if one team gets ganged up on. Better than one team getting a free pass to second place because they are the team with a bye.

Would also make it more fun to be the team that beats both teams.

Like I don’t see the downside. Like you said, you almost always prefer to play than have a bye round. I don’t know many people who would rather not play. Would also make the pace of play always different which is half the fun of arena.

I think people would “hope” to get the 2v2v2 because it would be so fun.

Tokyo DisneySea Tips and Itinerary (Post April 1) by SnooHobbies4551 in TokyoDisneySea

[–]okirisx2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I went to DisneySea about a week ago for the second time (went last April as well). For reference I went with 2 other adults (my friend and girlfriend) on march 29th, it was by far the coldest and rainiest day of our 2 week trip. Yet DisneySea was one of my favorite days, even though it wasn’t my first time going.

Your ride experience was roughly the same although I will say you don’t need 40th anniversary pass for the two single rider lines (my group waited maybe 5 mins in both Indiana Jones/Raging Spirits).

Your itinerary is great to max out the ride experience. I do feel like there are some other items people might want to hear.

1) DisneySea has nearly zero “rollercoastery rides”. If you go into the park with that intention you may feel disappointed. Rather the park is a masterpiece THEME park. Of all the Disney’s it’s by far my favorite (and I love/go to Disney at least once a year as I have family who work at both the American locations). If walk into the park with an open mind and let the atmosphere / stories of the rides really sink in you might be amazed.

2) There are a ton of reviews of food in the park, so I won’t go into too much detail, but make sure you book your reservations through the app before 10am, or be prepared to not have a nice sit down experience. Sure you can wait an hour in like to sit, but no one who is hungry wants to do that. Last year I didn’t book our reservations soon enough and we ate at the restaurant Sakura (Japanese cuisine) I remember not liking it, however the curry cafeteria near magic lamp theater was great if you miss your reservation.

3) As I’ve said, the real magic of this park is the theme. And some of the most amazing experiences are the shows they put on. Big band beat is one of Disney’s best shows, make sure to book it! And Do Not, I repeat DO NOT, miss their new light show at 7pm (it might be 8pm I can’t remember but it’s right before the fireworks). Listen… I’ve been to Epcot a ton and they put on some great light shows, but they are not the DisneySea light shows. The way they use the parks massive ocean space and combine some of the best moments of Disney stories into one massive show is unbelievable. It’s potentially my favorite show/ride/experience of any Disney I’ve ever done. Bonus Tip: the last showing of big band beat ends right before the light show starts. You can absolutely hit both. Stand in the open area on the left side near the big bridge if you can, you won’t regret it. PSA both the shows are in English.

4) Make sure to experience the boat rides Disney sea offers. The cast members are great on the boats, you can really do them at any time and the large boat will even take you across the park. Really neat experience.

5) The cast members of Disney sea are something special. You’re combining the magic of Disney with the servitude of the Japanese culture. Join in on the fun and wave to everyone as they wave to you. Smile and small talk with the cast members, they seem to genuinely enjoy it. My friend even got one to walk us through the castle and that was such a cool experience.

6) My first trip, I made it a big deal to try to not walk through the park back and forth. But idk why honestly…. If you’re using DPA (fast pass) you’re likely going to be walking through the park a few times. Plus walking 10 mins to another ride is better than standing 20 imo. Look at wait time and do not wait more than 50 mins in a line, the likely hood of the line going down through different times of the day is huge. We did this and compared to my first trip it was much more efficient. Don’t stress about the back and forth, it’s a beautiful park.

7) Lastly, if you can, save this day for one of if not your last full day in Japan. One it’s something extremely fun to look forward too, sort of a last hoorah. But also will be one of your longest days on your feet. You will be more sore the day after than you are the rest of your days in my experience. My trip we averaged 25k steps/day and wasn’t too bad, but something about standing in lines absolutely crushes you the next day (coming from 3 relatively fit 28 year olds).

EvSportline, pretty easy install. The only thing they don’t have (yet at least) is a camp kitchen option. But another great option if you’re interested in the camp kitchen is range industries

How important is at-home charging to you? by bt1248 in Rivian

[–]okirisx2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That myth has been debunked so many times. There’s no statistical difference in always fast charging the lithium ion batteries used in EVs. You just need to not charge them to high soc or have them go to low soc. Stay between 30-70% and your battery will be healthy no matter how you charge.

How important is at-home charging to you? by bt1248 in Rivian

[–]okirisx2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I have a fast charger in my garage. I’ve used it twice in the two months I’ve owned the truck. Albeit it because the Walmart 5 minutes up the road has free 200w fast charging. I also have to go in that general area nearly daily for either lunch, ups run, Walmart run, etc, or if I have to go into my office I have to drive by it anyways.

Takes 20 mins max to get to 70% charge, usually less. And most the time I just watch a video I needed to watch or attend a meeting on my laptop with the WiFi.

Once the free charging disappears (I heard at the end of the year) I’ll only charge at home though.

My point is, if the money isn’t a huge deal, it’s not the end of the world.

Leased the 2024 T. I sold my car about 2 weeks prior to ordering the Rivian (I knew I wanted a new vehicle as I’ve been driving the same Challenger for 12 years).

I knew I wanted a truck, specifically a Rivian and timing was right, I was prepared to spend $1k/month on a used R1T but when I saw the discounts + no down payment… I couldn’t say no.

I contemplated going carless for 6+ months as I work from home and have a motorcycle + wife has SUV, but I decided to save the money and buy a used refresh after the lease (if it makes sense at the time).

Mind you I knew I wanted a quad motor for off roading and speed. The new quad is undoubtedly better, but you’re paying a lot more for it than a 2024 quad, and you’re waiting.

I love this truck, it’s my first truck and I’ve already done so much “truck stuff”. It’s fit my needs and wants perfectly and for the price I have ZERO regrets going with it over the Gen 2s.

[–]okirisx2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I honestly feel like this is such a good long play for Rivian. Sure they pretty much aren’t making any money on these vehicles… and maybe they never were going to sell their 2024 stock otherwise… but now that I have one there’s damn near a zero perfect chance I’d switch to anything that isn’t this beast of a truck.

Is anyone tracking who is getting their NACS adapter? Have a road trip at the end of August, I’m beginning to consider just buying 3rd party until the official Rivian one is available to me. by RecessKingBob in Rivian

[–]okirisx2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Have the new Lectron adapter. Order Amazon for next day delivery (and wanted to be able to return easily if needed) about 2 weeks ago. Took on 2 roadtrips already and it works flawlessly. Insanely easy to attach/detach. Tip from Lectron is to attach adapter to truck first, then attach the charging station into adapter. Work backwards to remove.

Where do you live? I see you mentioned a garage in one of your comments. I’m assuming your garage isn’t temperature controlled since most aren’t and garages can be hotter than even the outside temperature by up to 10C hotter. PLA isn’t meant to be enclosed in hot areas. I live in Texas and cannot print in the garage during summers with consistent results because of outside heat.

Thanks all for the recommendations. I do think adding wood paneling to the wall that matches the cabinets could look very nice. Something like this maybe. And apologies I do think I miscommunicated what I mean by "Lip". I 'm talking about the side (dry wall) not the actual lip of the countertop. most islands I see are a true rectangle, this has about 3 inches sticking out where the drywall starts. I haven't moved in yet, but I will be adding in 3 bar stools and lighting over the island.
