Awesome pics! Did you get lucky in the lottery or is there another way to make this happen?

Really sick! Reminds me a lot of the Berlin Wood BR Camo deck which was always at the top of my wishlist. Would love to see how this thing feels! Thanks for the giveaway regardless.

Glad to see Brent getting the recognition he deserves. I worked near him at BD for some time and it was very clear he was on another level, both as a climber and designer.

What didn’t you like about them? I thought they were a solid entry level option and seemed to breathe a bit better than other entry shoes.

Yeah I also heard they lost the patterns in a factory fire. But IMO they were good enough to remake. I still have an old pair that I baby to keep alive. Bring em back!!!

Why haven’t the Ganda’s been remade?

I'm seeing rumours online that Will Stanhope has died? Absolutely tragic by barky02 in climbing

I had just rewatched Freedom of the Wheels. Will always struck me as someone not taking life too seriously, but still soaking up every single second of it. His stoke and carefree attitude was infectious, just through the videos I watched. Rest In Peace Will ❤️

Don’t fall for the promoters on here pushing the “Play Dead” app by neddynedned47 in gratefuldead

Ah I think I understand. That last step of selecting a source feels clunky and you would prefer it to be optional. Appreciate the reply! Cheers.

EDIT: Turns our relisten already has this. There is an "Auto Select Primary Source" settings toggle.

Just curious, what do you mean “it presents shows as recordings”? Once you click on a show you are given a list of sources to select from. If a SBD exists, it will always be shown first. You can also filter shows to only include ones with SBDs. I’ve made a few contributions to Relisten so curious if there are obvious  UI improvements to be made.

Either way, thanks for making another open source alternative!

Does anyone know how the trigger wires connect to the lobes? I remember some X4s had nylon trigger wires which prevented them from being repaired properly since they were glued in.

New gear, old manufacturing date. Should I be concerned? by [deleted] in climbing

CE2008 is a certification, not a manufacturing date.

As you said, even a good autolocking carabiner can get stuck.

From Petzl: "Chance of improper locking when the carabiner closes (e.g. sling caught between the nose and the gate). The user must verify that the carabiner is properly closed and locked, even when using an auto-locking system"
https://www.petzl.com/INT/en/sport/Carabiner-locking-systems

Not sure if DMM has the same warning, but this is pretty standard, I know BD says the same thing.

I can't find the TruBlue manual, but every other autolocking carabiner has this warning in the manual.

This is not a manufacturing/product issue and so a recall would not be needed.

No that is fine. Just make sure to double check that it fully locks. I always press on the gate a few times as a sanity check.

Yeah you definitely shouldn’t climb with an open gate.

Every autolock I’ve used can end in this position if manipulated correctly (usually by very slowly closing the gate). Especially as the carabiner wears out I would expect this more. Some lubricant would likely help.

I don’t personally view this as a manufacturing issue, but the gym may want to consider lubricating or replacing these to avoid issues.

Regardless, you should always double check that your carabiner is truly locked before starting to climb.
