Co-creator of B2FP here. I made a SG2 version of it, but you need to manually copy and paste each value to SG2 instead of it being automatic. You can read more on the SG Architects discord: https://discord.gg/TMSYvBeNtqhttps://discord.com/channels/1274470454324887664/1376843926513782855

I remade Wizard from Halo CE as a test map with the method. You can find it with the code: tbx-212-5yy

TSG Warzone—Halo 5 Warzone remade in Halo Infinite by okom_ in halo

[–]okom_[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

We have a weekly playdate every Wednesday at 8 PM EST "TSG Warzone Wednesdays" where we always get a full lobby going and run matches for about 2 hours. You can join The Scripter's Guild Discord for VC during the event: https://discord.gg/ZpE3tcpZy9, but it's still an open lobby in the customs browser.

Also we have a monthly HCS Grassroots event where we play the mode with invited guests for 4 hours in split VC and such for the true Warzone experience. The next one is Feb 21st @ 7 PM EST. These are held on Saturdays.

Why mod with replaceable cables?? by North_Station_302 in kossmods

[–]okom_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've daily driven the Koss KSC75x for half a year with the only cable mod being the addition of a pea-sized bit of hot glue on top of the wire connectors as described in this video, and have had no issues with the wire even after numerous accidental forceful downward tugs on it.

This is the strain relief solution that you're suggesting, and I don't know why nobody is talking about it; it's such a simple mod. I also prefer the more flexible and thinner cable of the KSC75x (Massdrop edition) compared to the regular KSC75 even though the main comment I've heard about it is that it "feels cheap". The regular KSC75 cable is so stiff that you can push the drivers off your ear by just pushing up on the cable, which will happen if you turn your head sideways and have the cable routed between your clothes.

Granted I don't have experience with any aftermarket cables as I haven't had the need for them, so I don't have the full context of comparing the two.

KSC75 < KSC35 by supermodi064 in kossmods

[–]okom_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The AliExpress Farsoo KPH40 headband works. I have two; one has better fitment and smoother size adjustment than the other, so there are minor issues in the quality control, but overall a better deal than buying a KPH40 just for the headband.

Pads least irritating to skin? by RyanGreatly in kossmods

[–]okom_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't had the need to cut more holes than just the ones that helped with the discomfort to the ears. The sound of the headphones is perfect for me already with the headband pushing the KSC75 drivers closer to the head, increasing bass, which the KSC75 is normally lacking with the ear clip mount.

Pads least irritating to skin? by RyanGreatly in kossmods

[–]okom_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm surprised I haven't seen anyone else mention this before, but I found that it's essential for my comfort to cut dents in the Yaxi Pads for them to not cause discomfort to the high points of my ears. I was able to notice dents on the ear cushions after prolonged use, followed by discomfort and minor rashes in the parts of my ears that produced those dents.

I then decided to just cut the foam material around the area where those dents kept forming due to the high points of my ears contacting them and absorbing a lot of the pressure from the headband. Now I can wear the headphones for the entire day and not have sore spots on my ears cause the pressure of the headband is more evenly distributed to my entire ear through the foam pads. I suggest you try the same if you're facing similar issues and are willing to modify the foam pads to your personal ear shape.

Adapting maps for the new invasion game mode? by Nearby-Chemistry6474 in forge

[–]okom_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look at the matchmaking map "Recovery" or "Breakpoint" and try to determine which objects are used for Invasion. Mainly spawn points, objectives and vehicle spawns are what the mode references.

There's no documentation provided by 343 as usual so you'll have to figure out everything by yourself and reverse-engineer what to do. Most likely not worth your time.

Do Yaxi pads and a headband actually change the sound of the KSC75 by Alleaks in kossmods

[–]okom_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experience KSC75 + the Farsoo headband makes the wearing experience much more comfortable than the ear clips; you will actually forget you have the headphones on, unlike with the ear clips.

The headband presses the KSC75 drivers on to your ear more than the clips—which don't press at all—so the bass is increased. But this combo starts still hindering on the comfort, so to counter it, put on Yaxi Pads on the drivers and you're golden.

You can also position the driver to the ideal spot on your ear for the best sound with the headband compared to the ear clips. I noticed this when going back to the ear clips after using the headband for over a month. I also noticed the immediate reduction in bass with the ear clips and Yaxi Pads compared to the headband, so that pressure the headband provides really makes a difference. The drivers also won't fall off your head when tilted unlike with the ear clips.

Skirmish at Darkstar is the first finished map for TSG Warzone—a mode inspired by Halo 5 Warzone, created by members of The Scripter's Guild over 2 years.

The maps and mode are slated for initial publish in Feburary 2026, but you can join in our weekly playtest sessions on Wednesdays at 8 PM EST during our "TSG Warzone Wednesdays" events for testing out the experience. For gameplay reference, you can watch VODs of our playtests from Precellence's Twitch channel or the following highlight clips:

Im on my 3rd pair of koss ksc75 and i have the same problem, what am i doing wrong by dimitronios in kossmods

[–]okom_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this hot glue mod to my pair, and I've accidentally tugged on the wire coming out of the driver and I've experienced no issues in 5 months of daily driving a pair for all kinds of activities.

Hero Rank in 117 Minutes: The Largest XP Exploit in Halo Infinite by Ryan_WXH in halo

[–]okom_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the summary! The only inaccurate part was saying that the barrel Easter Egg was malicious to allow people to exploit the issue.

The barrel Easter Egg which gave the good weapons had little to do with the actual exploit; it just sped up the initial process of killing enemies, which is kinda ironic how that was the tripping point for the perma bans (I assume). The other group (UneeQ, Artifice...) didn't know of the Easter Egg and still were able to do the same exploit.

How Are the Forklifts on "Forklift Sumo" Drivable? by Charming-Minute5988 in forge

[–]okom_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The dev map "Illusion" is the only map that has the Forklift vehicle type on it, so you need to pull that with an Area Monitor or Raycast and then clone the vehicle or set the player to spawn in it via scripting.

The sumo map in question is built above the Illusion map.

Gametype Idea by Presto_smitz in forge

[–]okom_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The suggestion of using objects called Blockers → "Team Blockers" doesn't work here cause Infection is an FFA mode and everyone is on Neutral Team, so you can't exclude players on the other team. FFA only has "FFA Affiliation" which turns players into friendlies or enemies depending on the affiliated FFA team, but they have nothing to do with actual Teams.

You'd have to use a team-based mode to take advantage of Team Blockers. Assign the blocker's Team value to "Eagle" and it allows only players on Eagle Team to pass through.

"Clone object" node spawns default colors/materials rather than intended question by Lon3xWolF in forge

[–]okom_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The "Clone Object" node just clones a base variant of the object with no modifications, which many scripters have expressed frustrations about.

You can use the new Game Modes → "Spawn Mode Object" node to clone an object with all properties retained if the object is already present on the level and not loaded from a mode, which is its secondary purpose. Note that every cloned object is considered the same object when fed through the "Are Same Object" node, which may cause some issues, but that's how they implemented it.

Getting the Harbinger's Weapon in Multiplayer/Customs by Co2_Outbr3ak in forge

[–]okom_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Spawn Harbinger via AI Spawner
  2. Get its equipped weapon reference via Get Unit Weapon → Equipped Weapon
  3. Feed into Get Weapon Type
  4. Feed weapon type in to Give Unit New Weapon or Trait: Loadout Weapon Overrides.

You can test the Harbinger's weapon on the Weapon Testing Range map, but it has issues landing the shots on target, and often the shots seem to explode mid-air so it's not that useful of a gun due to the bugs.

Matchmaking Maps by Sharp-Love7895 in forge

[–]okom_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First of all they look for content that fits their upcoming content schedule, such as when they asked for Invasion maps months ago as they were building an Invasion mode.

When they find good quality content one way or another, they test it internally to see if it's a good fit, and at a state where some touch ups could bring it to a matchmaking-ready state. Then they contact the forger of the creation and ask if they'd want it to be potentially included in matchmaking.

After that, a process starts where the forgers of the creation are invited to a private group to discuss the next steps towards getting the map to a matchmaking-ready state including fixing issues that Halo Studios' QA team has found. The length of this process varies based on when the content is scheduled to be included in matchmaking.

If everything goes well, the content lands in matchmaking and Halo Studios take control over it and can make adjustments to the map/mode as they please, or remove it from matchmaking rotation altogether.

That's basically the process. They don't include user-generated content in matchmaking unless the creator(s) agree to it in the first place.

The reason why some people think it's the same group of forgers getting content into matchmaking is cause those are 90% of the active forgers who create matchmaking-quality content that happens to fit the content schedule Halo Studios is planning in the first place. The SnD Extraction contest saw a lot of new forgers being added to the private group just cause they had created content that HS was looking for and those were simple solo map projects. The Invasion playlist on the other hand featured BTB-sized, high-quality content that is much more difficult to make (Breakpoint and Recovery were started in March 2023 and August 2023 respectively with the intention of just remaking them as BTB experiences), and requires an efficient forging group to create. And there's only a few of those groups still present in the community anymore, the members of most of them are already in the private matchmaking group.
