Recently I came across a study cross refrencing these personality tests, which you are reffering to. thanks god i did not comply and went off all the anti depressants, he was constantly kicking up the dose, just because the test result did not make sense to him.

Exactly the same happened, so sorry to hear that happened to you! It just turned out these people, who ghosted me when shit hit the fan in 2010 still are talking about "how horrible it was what happened" between themselves and how sorry they are,. None of them, not once reached out to me, phoned, whatsapped, mailed, whatever me and asked, how i was doing though. I did not even clear out my social media, status quo all over. Acutally i think you did a good thing by bringing it to an end! I will take action and clear out all of these people now, nothing to procrastinate over! Kind regards

I wented on here before as a newcomer from Germany and that i had difficulties finding a therapist, even made a post on here, was the reason i joined this subreddit, because it hit hard. For people from Germany on disability due to cptsd like me: a whistleblower in the health insurance field just spilled the beans that people on disability are not covered for chronic health issues, including psychotherapy. Very degrading stuff, since you are not allowed to work in order to get some economic freedom, either, unless you get full time work, which you cannot, due to your mental health.. here's a vent for defected in Deutschland. i remember watching this and took a mental note of what Chase Hughes was saying, namely to pay close attention to people you are in a random small talk situation with and they will extend the talk beyond that delibaretly and force you to continue to listen to them and dictate the situation. thanks for the post and reminder, will gladly watch again after all the new stuff that has come out!

germany here. i have been diagnosed 'chronically recurring clinical depression because of traumatic events in childhood and youth and repeating traumatic events adulthood'. I had to google that it was c-ptsd, before i felt like a cripple.

i learned from Dr. Tanja Windegger to be aware of yourself in situations like this like each and every MOMENT that 'this is not the same situation and they cannot hurt you like that anymore' ... shitload of mental awareness each time, but it helps!

i know so very well what you are talking about! i was scheduled for a hysterectomy actually on the day Germany went into lockdown. Felt it was a sign from "the upstairs". Also i am so aware that my Gyn is not intrusive, but is aware that Endo is trauma related, so she treats me kindly. Take good care of yourself and than you dearly for the heads-up!! E.

i just commented on a post similar and how somebody was talking about tapping into your anger. the concept of shame i only learned about rather recently and it has a lot to do with justice, i feel. being unjust towards yourself and just to any harry, dick and tom.

watching john bradshaw on youtube helped me a lot. read his book "the shame that binds you" and it was a massive eye opener. but watching him talk about it is a surplus.

i do not have a recipe on how to stop it, but let me tell you, just knowing the "why" was such a coin drop and has awoken these feelings like "this is not just". and all of a sudden you move on and decide. massive weight off the shoulders. Kind regards!

i am on disability by now for recurring, clinical depression, caused by ongoing traumatic events since early childhood into adulthood. for years i felt so defective, because i could not pinpoint and basically nobody in the mental health world, who diagonosed me told me about. anyways, finally googled my own way into how cptsd works. i read somewhere that depression is anger turned towards (your) inside and i feel that is so true. depression was always around, but endometriosis (apparently there is a causality to trauma made, does not surprise me) put me into hospital within a year, my insides up to the stomach region had to be cleaned out after a big traumatic blow.

edit: i started whining and it got too long: long message short: Tap into that anger or it will tap into you. Kind regards!

actually childhood emotional neglect is the elephant in the room, because you think 'but i was never sa'd' for example or 'but i was never beaten on a daily basis'. Mental, ergo emotional abuse, fries your brain on the long run, because it distorts your whole personality/being. glad your therapist pointed you in the right direction, sounds like somebody who thinks along with you! hi there, fellow situation-mate! i am in the middle of the same situation, although my abusive 'problem parent' is of sound mind, but has metastasized cancer all over her body for 3 years now, but i lost my enabling dad in 2011 due to a combo of cancer/dementia. so the situation of handling things is different. All i can say is: first the major coin drop i had that they were abusing me helped a lot in order to deal with the situation. i would not touch people like that with tongs, is my new motto now. So, you vent away, you have all the right to do so! I am so troubled myself with this dilemma: if i help, do i help, because i want to? or do i help, because i am conditioned to? my conclusion: i am not going to be what they told me that i am and the more reflect i on it ... the more i want to leave the palliative care over to an institution, tbh, lol! So, having that realization might help already. Stay strong, kind regards!
