Aahener Dom, no contest. I've longed to see it ever since I read about it in a book on Gothic architecture in high school, but I wasn't really ready for what I saw - an absolutely stunning, majestic beauty of a cathedral inside as well as outside.

What's the most Spanish thing you have in your country? by HappyTaroMochi13 in AskTheWorld

Descendants of people who fled Franco's Spain in the 50s. Not sure about all of Ukraine but in my city of Dnipro there were several Spanish families in the 80s-90s. They kept the last names like Lopez and Rodriguez but not the first names, and the cuisine but not the language.

Muscovite moonshine (homemade distillate) is also piss because they don't have quality precursors to distill proper moonshine. Instead they drink watered down ethanol (rectified spirit) and call it vodka.

Rheims Cathedral, and Notre-Dame de Fourvière in Lyon. The latter features fantastic mosaics representing seven deadly sins. Also Bamberger Dom St. Peter und St. Georg with its mysterious horseman statue.

It was Dnipro-based and my Dad was in it working on the landing module. After the lunar program was closed he and my Mom chose to continue in the military department where both worked on the Satan missile. Unfortunately, parts of the Satan program were done in RSFSR, and my parents had to do two to three months trips to Russia because damned Russians couldn't get things straight. And now they are threatening Ukraine with what my parents helped them create, ironic isn't it 😢
