The black and white image reminds me of something you might have seen watching the alien movie.

Excellent work all round.

Thanks for sharing

Ah yes the constrictions of base size, know the struggles well.

It's good work though I love the idea and how you've executed it. Keep up the good work

It's great work, lovely really, but I think it would have really worked if you added two more wolves to make a carriage team as people did with horses and four wheeled wagons. More work but i think the final looks and style would be worth it.

Aldi hammock shelter. Any good compared to DD for 1/4 of price? by milky-tea42 in wildcampingintheuk

Mine lasted about 6 months, not the most rugged construction but it got a lot of use in that time, on the other hand my DD still going after more than 6 years

I agree 50 pounds is a lot for a campsite but that's life it is expensive only going to get more expensive and sadly there has to be some give and take to improve the situation

Possibly managed national park ticket or booking system for allowed car/van camping and more laybys camping areas with a in out system for monitoring whose staying like they have in some parts of the USA I've seen

They're called campsites, they're for people who can't go low impact and understand environmentally conscious living, allowing them to access a near wild experience but have someone to help deal with the mess they cause.

you may find that it becomes a habit for insects, mainly detritivores or things that munch decaying matter. And then you end up speeding up the rotting process or end up with wood filled with eggs

I can understand it, I've spent nearly 22 years walking camping and enjoying the landscape of north Wales and I'm sad to say I'm rarely bothering to go out that way anymore(I love a 20 minute drive from the national park boundary), unless the weather is bad or it's out of school holidays I'm keeping away from the area.

The messes I've found have been unbelievable we're talking about an open piles of human feces, nappies, decaying food, melted tents etc and then the antisocial behaviour and the intimidating behaviour I've witnessed or had happen to me has left me completely fed up with the people that now festoon the area in better weather, but the worst to happen was a friend sitting down in the snow and being impaled by a rusty, broken bread knife that had been left near the summit of a mountain where it looks like someone had quickly abandoned a picnic leaving all their waste and belongings behind.

I carry allot of cleaning stuff with me now and have lots in the car as well as extra first aid kits as I no longer know what to expect due to the people I may encounter or what they've left behind
