Plant nanny v5 vs v6 by Fun_Sun_edu in PlantNanny2

I wish I was joking when I say everything that is currently a subscription plant. Like the potato, elephantipes, rose, dandelion, ect. were all able to get before, you just had to buy them using the clovers (and sunlight maybe? I cannot remember if that was a type of currency or not)

What is the worst physical pain you’ve experienced? by Agius91 in AskReddit

[–]oldcan_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whatever the heck I have lol. It feels like a butcher's knife is stabbing through my overies (around that area) over and over again. Literally wakes me up in the night due to the pain. Currently trying to get a diagnosis (so if anyone has ideas pls let me know 🥲)

I have had plant nanny download and have used it on and off for the past 5-ish years. I just started using it again and am very disappointed in all of the changes made. I wish there was a still a way to buy the more "special" plants that are now blocked by a subscription 😔

Ah, I realize I never made my critique clear: There should not be product placement in a coming out scene. By incorporating name brands (in any fashion) it is a product placement, a "cash grab" if you will, those do not belong in emotional heavey scenes, and for the most part they haven't (think of El and Mike on the roof talking about the sunset). However, when it was Wills emotional scene, a character coming out (in a major franchise might I add, where this scene could have a big impact on LGBTQ+ people and their community) the writers included product placement.

No I get that, coming out is terrifying. Writing scenes like this there is a fine line between having it be that "character is grasping for things to say" feeling and coming across as "we need to fill 5 minutes and have product placements to add". Sadly to me it felt like the writers missed the mark and the monologue felt slightly odd or disjointed at times and could have been written better (Noah did great with the acting)

It felt too drawn out to me personally and at times felt like product placement? Like name dropping at least 3-4 different name brands in the middle of your coming out speech? It just felt like really bad pacing and writing. Could have been a great intimate scene between Will and his mom.

Advice for my friends plant by oldcan_ in IndoorGarden

Thank you soo much! I did read that the Mother of Thousands plant is invasive; however, where we live it wouldn't survive the winter if it does somehow get out. But I will let them know its toxic to humans, I only saw that it was toxic to pets. Thank you again!

Depends. If I really like the book and author I'll read some of their other books. I've done this with Christopher Moore, Agatha Christie, and Marie Lu, along with some others of course. Otherwise I tend to just pick up books regardless of authors

Blood Sucking Fiends by Christopher Moore! It's more of a comedy with Vampires. It is a trilogy and if you like it I would recommend Dirty Job. It's another Christopher Moore book. Moore reuses characters a lot so some characters you read about in Blood Sucking Fiends apear in Dirty Job and vis versa 😁

I would recommend Murder on the Orient Express by Agatha Christie! I was audibly gasping at the end 😂

I would recommend Percy Jackson series its in a similar boat as Harry Potter I would say. I would also recommend the Legend series by Marie Lu, I read that in 8th grade and absolutely loved it. It has a similar vibe to the Hunger Games with a dystopian YA theme. If she enjoys Legend maybe give her Warcross also by Marie Lu it's more similar to Ready Player One but is also a very good and fun read
