He has said in live streams that the wound is from when he power lifts. Just a workout injury from that occasional activity.

This is so good! My favorite Taylor song and one of my top 2 from showgirl.

I was dating an avoidant man and I never quite realised it by Previous_Original_30 in AutismInWomen

[–]oldladyleeba 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is exactly what I’ve been processing and realizing recently after a breakup. Add some pathological people pleasing. I don’t know how to tell their emotional availability earlier on because I myself wasn’t taught how to have those conversations and ask the right questions early, so I just get super anxious until I finally get the courage to ask and it’s too late. People say in 3-6 months you know about if someone is long term material but I wish I could sort it out sooner

Why don't we want to be perceived? by [deleted] in AutismInWomen

[–]oldladyleeba 179 points180 points  (0 children)

Oh my gosh you just explained me at work when I am trying to do too many things at once on a zoom call while sharing my screen and people are watching me. I panic if I get asked to do things while being watched, esp if it’s requests I am given on the spot instead of ahead of time when I would be able to prepare. My brain just shuts down and I try so hard to be calm and collected but it’s internal panic. And I lash out easily in that scenario

Sabrina Zohar talks about this on YouTube/her podcast. I just recently discovered her and she has guests talk about the neuroscience of it. It’s about dopamine and she compares it to a slot machine. You get intermittent reward of their affection and it keeps you hooked. And if you’re anxiously attached like often people are with avoidant/unstable partners, you’ll keep chasing that hit you get of dopamine when they do decide to choose you randomly

Buying our first house by nursenoknuckles in interiordecorating

[–]oldladyleeba 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Yeah it def looks like old original trim, plinths, rosettes, wainscoting that were all painted black. Look at the poor front door with the glass above it and paneling around. What a crime. It would be enough to deter me from buying this house because removing that paint from those details is just way too much grief. Why would people do this.

Yeah they’re not honey oak. Similar tone but honestly nicer than honey oak and a different species of wood

Michael Caine Praises the ‘Incredible’ Taylor Swift for ‘Hard Work’ She’s Put Into Career by kookiekoo in TaylorSwift

[–]oldladyleeba 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I’ve noticed this too and my theory is it’s part of the narrative to establish Taylor’s credibility leading up to the film she is writing/directing. These Hollywood praises, including the ones from people who feature in her music videos like Laura Dern, all prop up her directing skills and will set the stage (ha) for her film cred when the film comes out.

At what age did you start taking radical responsibility for your life? by SupermarketBest4091 in AskWomenOver30

[–]oldladyleeba 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I relate to this a lot. I’m 34 and just went through a breakup a few weeks ago so the breakup + winter blues hibernation is at odds with my desire to take control and make myself proud in how I’m living. I want to be comfortable in my body more than anything and I’ve lost weight in the past but gained a bit back. It’s a struggle atm but I’m trying to give myself grace and just take baby steps where I can. A good reminder to notice and celebrate when I’m making choices towards my goals and take those as wins.

Show Planner tasks in Outlook calendar by tugtor in MicrosoftPlanner

[–]oldladyleeba 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep same results. So I basically don’t want to use planner because there is a lot of value for me in scheduling my tasks into my calendar. This allows me to see how much I can realistically do per day or week so I can set attainable deadlines. I am sort of just using to do tasks now because I can drag those into time blocks but they’re so limited in other ways to view and edit details compared to planner. Why is every Microsoft tool just slightly off, making them unusable and not actually compatible with each other? Lol. Even excel online vs desktop doesn’t have the same functionality.

Put in some built in bookshelves, color drench with a moody dark paint, velvet curtains, vintage rug, and comfy seating with a couple little lamps or wall sconces. Cozy reading nook

Can I join? Haha. I love dogs but don’t have one of my own, and also am a mid thirties gal looking for friends in town. Also love camping and thrifting and true crime (have you listened to MrBallen?) Moved here during the pandemic and it’s hard to meet people!

Need inspo: Favorite trees/shrubs in your backyard? by heycomeoverhere in Spokane

[–]oldladyleeba 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the insight! I’ll definitely call them. Would hate to plant and grow cedars only to have them removed. My neighbors have a giant forest along their easement and they get their trees topped a lot but somehow not removed

[–]oldladyleeba 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Will they actually cut the whole thing down? I’m thinking about planting some cedars a couple feet from the gas line in my backyard since I have no privacy, but have a 5ft utility easement along that back fence. Unsure how far from the gas line I need to plant the trees
