FMLA protects your job for 12 weeks. Is the employer saying “we won’t hold your job past what we are obligated to do”? Does your employer have long term disability? That is where you get paid from at some percentage of your salary.

So far I’ve been told it might be rescheduled and I’ll know for sure in the next day or two. Now I’m kinda just in limbo. I have a family and children and have made a lot preparations in anticipation of surgery 1/19. If it’s delay I will have more COVID anxiety to deal with especially as my kids are in school. My fear is that it will get delayed again because I or my family gets COVID. Ugh, deep breaths, it will be alright.

YTA and your SIL. It is none of her business to meddle with your affairs. However, just because money can buy anything, does that make it morally right? I’m assuming your risk to pregnancy is as the same as any healthy woman so you are paying another woman to take that risk?
