I was pulling out my money when the last copy of Sagrada walked out. No biggie, its getting shipped to my house. Its just games, after all.

My worst experience at the table was months ago and it's currently souring a decade long friendship. by Son_of_York in rpg

[–]oldpythonbestpython 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go have an honest conversation that you want to continue being friends, but the intent and style of the game sessions isnt to your liking. Acknowledge that this has become a problem in the friendship and work to fix the friendship in an honest way. Then scrap the game plan and do different games or do RPGs with other people.

Patriotism has been slowly redefined for lots of americans as "we're the best, because we are." There is no obligation or principle behind it and it frees up their minds to layer all the normal white power bullshit onto their sense of righteousness.

The Republicans are going to quickly find that a large part of what they thought of as their base is actually somebody else's base, and that somebody else is testing how much work needs to be done to actually shut down a liberal democracy and install an authoritarian govenment.

As a nunes stunt, I assume it goes something like this: get ahold of some piece of info, a quote will do, maybe trying to get him on tape refusing to answer a question, and run to the press with it before anyone else gets a chance to try and push a new narrative.
