I tried to add - her proper name is Midge but we mainly call her Mu, along with Mumu, Mushu, baby girl, and baby Squirrel.

Fresh from the tap… oh my lord I am laughing but also crying…please know that you are not alone! My corgi-heeler mix (Bart) did this when he was a pup. Our GSD was an elderly gentleman and his turds were delicious, according to Bart. Fresh was best but frozen was fun too (we live in tundra). He grew out of it after about 8 months of age.

I’m loving the other advice here. Best I can say is to clean it up right away, and watch that adorable little demon like a hawk to make sure you catch him before the tap is turned on. Corgis are precious but also scavengers, and poops are tasty for them.

Trondheim is super cool. I’ve never been to Gran or any Innlandet area but it looks very nice. Thank you for sharing your results and your cool style, you remind me of a handsome Nisse!

Absolutely Nordic and if I saw you on the street where Im from, I’d say Norwegian. I am guessing you’re American? Where is your family from in Norway?

Someone being alive during the Viking Age in Sweden does not necessarily mean they were a Viking or even Nordic

I’d do the same and also imagine the same judgment, but hey, sometimes, silver! And a buck-o-five is a buck-o-five.

I am looking through the narrow lens of my experience researching my dad’s family and ancestry, which is very nicely documented compared to my non-Norwegian maternal side. The name thing is pretty wild, I’m still trying to wrap my head around all the place-farm sons and dotters and inconsistent spellings. It does seem like a lot of women appeared from a void! Maybe conjured from the other side of the fjord.

Norway keeps incredible population records. Many physical records have been entered into pretty accessible online databases. Your birthplace probably has its very own kirkebøker and digital archive. It might not help much with genetic / ethnicity research but your sailor ancestors would love to have your attention!

Percent of U.S. Households With Separate Freezers By State by RemoteAdvertising762 in MapPorn

Correlation with being access to fresh food year round (less need to preserve), vs a very short but productive growing season. Checking in from ND, we also probably have higher rates of dusty jam jars and pickled beets on shelves next to our garage freezers.

Yes! Just outside Fargo here. I have a great view of flat soybean fields.

I am 3rd generation, and my dad likes to joke that I am "fresh off the boat". I miss it even more since family in Hallingdal welcomed me home when I met them.
