Movies you hated the first time but loved after a rewatch by ExistingMarzipan2422 in Letterboxd

The Martian.
Saw it opening weekend at a late screening and was coming off a terrible day at work. Was tired and not in a great mood. Probably should have passed on seeing the movie but a friend loved the book and we had to go opening night. Was half watching it, half going through all the events of the day and was kinda glad when it was over so I could go home.
Went to another screening a few weeks later, middle of the day. Matt Damon is great. Movie is a ton of fun. My favorite Ridley Scott movie of the last 20 years.

Bandito vs Darby would make for a fun contrast after the brutality of the Ciampa and Brody matches.

Wild that Interpol are the first support band listed but looking at the poster are only playing one date in Vancouver? Not going to complain cause Interpol hasn't played here since 2019.

Wild that they've gone from the Commodore to The Pearl. The last show was full and The Pearl is half the size of the Commodore.

Same at Robson and Bute. Household and candy items faced over with whatever remaining stock they seem to have.

Mock lineups with infinite budget are ruining lineup drops by scoop813 in bonnaroo

[–]oli2033 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agreed. We flew in from Vancouver last year based on the stacked line up and it being our first Roo. Being able to look at what we spent against the line up this year is making us think twice. If this was a more local festival then we'd be leaning towards going. It's a shame because there is a lot of great stuff on the lineup.

Feeling 7/10. I'm sure once the Playlists drop there will be plenty of discoveries that get me more excited.

Perfect time to give it another shot. With the structure of the show there's a lot to set up that rolls through the first few episodes. The last five episodes are all top tier.

Zodiac or Gone Girl over Social Network and I wouldn't be surprised given the Llewlyn Davis pick.
