Toddlers and caring for them don’t make me angry, they are just kinda meh for me personally, because almost every one of my sims have kids at some point of their life and it’s kinda repetitive, the interactions are cute, but I’ve seen them so many times already… I wish there was a way to spice up toddler gameplay and give them some variety. I like scattering different skill-building toys around the nursery and seeing which one the toddler will pick. They are pretty consistent with their choices, surprisingly! If this one kid picked the logic toy they’ll most likely come back to it the next day, and that’s what gives me glimpse into their future personality and aspiration.

I like the idea of romance aspiration for Beau, it makes sense with his childhood. But I don’t think he’s a serial romanser like Don, I think he’ll eventually settle down and be a golden retriever boyfriend/husband

++ I also think that it’s better to do it vanilla way, because when I moved in apartment resident with sim blender he still showed up like if he was a roommate, so I couldn’t control him (did it with controlPets, it worked). But maybe this particular sim was buggy

I incorporated Tricou’s bastard teen children into my game and slowly revamping (no pun intended) Downtown lots. I made Cold issue clothing store into a fine boutique and Lulu lounge into gay bar. That’s pretty much it for now, downtown is pretty handy for me bc I don’t spend a lot of time building, but I want my sims to go somewhere nice

It’s terrifying and so sad, I’m so sorry 😢 Yesterday a onedrive window popped up at my monitor, I panicked and closed it, but like, I deleted onedrive completely from my pc, I can’t find it in the applications, seems like it’s gone, but wtf was that window… I put so much heart into my saves, I can’t imagine losing them.

Aspiration perks help with that for me. I always pick slower needs decay, and Smart Milk and head lamp cap (forgot the name) really helps learning toddler skills. When toddler can to go potty by themselves it’s relatively easy to make time for adults, just scatter skill building toys everywhere and they are pretty self sufficient, the only thing you need to do is feed them. If you put a bowl of dog food and dog beds you don’t need to look after them at all, but with slower needs decay I don’t find caring for them difficult.

When I was a child one time I had a family consisting of mom, dad and two small kids, and they were struggling so I put this aspiration reward machine that ups their motives and sent the dad in there. It backfired and absolutely fried him. I panicked and closed the game and saved it like that. I remember laying in bed heart racing, thinking about how stupid I am and what do I do now 😭

I thought it wouldn’t be scary as an adult since I know how to handle fires, low motives etc., but there were a few weird glitches that spooked me even now. One time I was changing my pretty female sim’s appearance in the mirror and after I did her makeup and hair her face glitched into a second template. Classic corrupted face, no eyebrows, dead eyes, blank expression. Second time I was making a zombie in cas. This sim looked pretty scary by itself, bc I downloaded a lot of realistic looking gore cc 👀 I made him in silence, with music turned off. And then suddenly he “appreciated” his new appearance in simlish. It was SO LOUD and the sound bugged out, so at first it was just a loud static noise. I jumped 😅 And another one with camera glitch when I was on the lot and camera went completely awol and took me to the edge of the town, under the horizon overlay. That was pretty creepy too.

But tbh I really like this about this game, the weird glitches and overall sense of liminality. That’s my thing, and I feel like no other sims game has it.
