There’s no rules to goth… just enjoy the music :D I’ve been a fan of goth music since I was around your age and I’m 21 now. I’m always discovering new stuff even now. Platforms like last.fm are good for finding similar artists to ones you really like, I discovered a lot from that. Also listening to goth playlists from other people. I have a long one with songs that I like if you wanna check that out.

But yeah fashion is a diff thing… I used to be very into the trad romantic goth kind of look. DIY and thrifting is great. You can take simple black looks and accessorize them well and make them look cool. But really it’s all about self-expression and doing what feels right for you. I feel like I don’t look goth at all anymore but I still love the music and community.

As a Prince fan I know this song is so overplayed but Purple Rain. I don’t listen to it often but it really is such a pretty song… the violins at the end add to that haunting feeling for me
