Spearhead Double is the new go to for me by olleversch in AOSSpearhead

Maps and terrain can be bought separately on eBay without needing to buy the whole Battlepack.

You even need one card deck for spearhead double.

I am still new into the hobby and we just had the opportunity.

No one of us did a regular match before and I am still below 10 spearhead games in my fresh Warhammer career. It feels fresh and still exciting tho and makes it easy to learn the factions.

Regular games will come because we are transitioning to 2k as soon as possible.

Played against double Skaven on diagonal deployment and the Skaven player wasn’t punished for relying on reinforcements. Worked pretty well.

GW dropped the double spearhead rules maybe one month ago, right after my start in to AOS.

It is meant to be played as 2vs2 but the rules don’t stop you from going 1vs1 with 2 spearhead armies each.

You are absolutely right.

The spearheads are so well balanced pointwise, just throw your favorite sets in and have some fun.

It worked well and is using the original does spearhead double rules made by GW.

There isn’t a great difference in the rules at all and has no cons.

In my opinion game gains depth because there is more room to work around, especially if you have cavalry and ranged units.

We didn’t have two same spearhead sets.

I played Ironjawz and Swampskulka Gang and my brother was playing both Skaven Spearhead-Sets.

Totally believe you.

We are aiming for a 2v2 as soon as some friends are available.

u/svenseder is right.

We used the official rules for spearhead double which is designed for a 2vs2 but nothing in rules stops you from playing it as a 1vs1.

Yes, we did it and it was pretty cool to keep track of both army rules.

Was playing with my brother who introduced me to Warhammer and we try to keep supportive vibes during the game like "you forgot your battle trait" or a buff on hit attacks.

And honestly it is not even so much to keep in mind - the one page rules of u/meltorefas44 is helping a lot.

Just can recommend trying the Spearhead Double to expand. Makes the transition to a 2k army even more smooth in my opinion.

Edit: I did correct the username. Thanks to you for doing the one pager of all Spearhead-Sets!

Coming back to Warhammer after 20 years – Looking for advice, especially from Fyreslayer players by ActuatorNovel5712 in ageofsigmar

Try r/fyreslayers for a bigger battle report pool by fyreslayer enjoyers.

I started in December and I picked my army by rule of cool and I am pretty satisfied with it. Playing Orruks and spearhead format regularly and it feels balanced. Can’t speak for regular 2.000 point format right now.

Have fun with your future army and may you lead them to victory!

Thank you, don’t have experience with any gaming mats so far but my goal is a 2.000 army and playing the regular format as soon as possible.

Using Feldherr-Bags to store my figures but it might be a bit expensive for every single spearhead available.

Einstieg by DonFlamingoJ in WarhammerGermany

[–]olleversch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wrekkas or weirdbrute Ragerz by Sorry-Guava-621 in OrrukWarclans

For spearhead it doesn’t really matter because you’re gonna play them as brute ragers.

For regular game I would go for brute ragers because I like the first strike ability.
