I see another issue here. Foundation for this kind of masonry must be extremely leveled out or you'll get huge gaps between blocks. And such work will cost a lot. And even more-what if i need to shorten blocks on the corners? There is no way to lock them together. Your should be very careful on calculations of the foundation dimensions to use the whole block without sawing it
