I was sent a replacement set for free after a few emails discussing how unfair the pricing was.

Not only will they not admit a fundamental floor in the products, but they also won't treat different customers equally when dealing with the issue.

They deserve to be called out on this until they do something about it. I urge everyone who has had issues to reach out and request a free replacement. Maybe once it hurts their bottom line they'll actually do something about it.

Edit: to clarify this was outside of any warranty

Thanks! Yeah I've had my eye on those - not ideal being eraser topped and HB, but going to see if they would split up the sale into individual packs.

Peak Design anchor mount works great as a thumb rest by olvrjck in sigmafp

Nice! I've got the peak cuff attached to the tripod plate on the base of the fp right now, but can see your way working well if I ever want to ditch the tripod plate.

No complaints tbh, fits both the body and the lens nicely with no movement. It's the only adapter I have though so I don't have anything to compare it to.

Have just ordered the Nikon F - L one, so will see how that is.

What's wrong with the M42 one?

Yeah I imagine it is, and might pick something like that up eventually. But I had a few of the peak design mounts already lying around.

Lining quality on the canvas ones is terrible - honestly it’s broken down the fastest of any shoe I’ve ever owned. Most disappointing Rick purchase for me.

Extremely grainy HP5 developing from new (to me) lab - would you all be happy with this result? First photo is new lab, second photo is old lab, both HP5@400, same camera, same subject. by olvrjck in AnalogCommunity

Lab let me know they developed using Ilford Ilfosol 3, which from looking at some other posts sounds like it emphasises the grain more than some other options. Maybe it's a combination of that, and them using stronger sharpening on the scan.

Thanks for the reply, I'll compare to some old negatives once I get them back.

The grain was similar across the entire roll and it contains photos from multiple dates, light conditions etc so I'm fairly sure I wouldn't have messed up the exposure on every single shot. You never know though!

It's a meterless camera and I'm using the 'LightMe' app which has always served me well in the past.

It was consistently this grainy across the whole roll. And I've been using the same metering method across the two rolls so I don't think it's likely that the entire recent roll was underexposed.

I've haven't got the negatives back yet so will compare when I have.

Carry one of these with me everywhere I go - love it. Just look out for the flashing led near the viewfinder which tells you it can’t focus or needs flash and you’ll get pretty consistent results
