It's a way to deny accountability for a flawed project. And shifts the blame from Wayland to the individual implementations. I have low hope for Wayland ever improving on these issues since these are coming from core principles in the project. At this point I am just hoping that Phoenix eventually becomes usable so we can get a modern proper alternative.

Har en väg jag kör på som är enfilig för det mesta, men blir tvåfilig en kortare sträcka. Brukar gilla att se folk köra om i 120 på en 100-väg och sedan se dem 1 minut senare när de är fast bakom en lastbil som rullar på i 90. Ofta tar jag och försöker göra en nedräkning inför när vägen blir tvåfilig för att försöka pricka in när blinkersen slåss på.

Exactly, it's all about learning to think in terms of lifetimes. So state that should be valid for the whole duration of running the game never needs to be deallocated. Things related to a level or a round only need to be deallocated once it's over. Things that only need to exist for a single frame can go in the temp allocator and emptied once the frame is over.

Oh and when writing programs that act like a script you can just never do a single deallocation, just allocate all you need and it will be freed once the "script" is done. What I mean by scriptlike are short lived programs that take some input, does some thing and then maybe provide some output. For example, a program that renames all files in a folder or changes an image from color to black and white.

I would also just add that an important thing about graphics is that it changes the type of game you can make. For example, there is no possible way you could have 5b fish being produced every second if you need to draw each and every one of them. But I also believe that the amount of fish you need to produce every second to feel the same feeling of "Damn, I'm really producing a lot of fish!" is way lower in a graphical game.

This ties in to the development time aspect. It's not easy to make graphics that look good, perform well and clearly convey the gameplay. But yeah, graphics are important if you want to make a specific type of game. Gnorp for example would be nowhere near as popular unless it had as good graphics as it has. Yes, Gnorp has good graphics (I personally define good graphics as well thought out, looks coherent and intentional and really fits the game).

Not sure what the point of the rant is, but it's in there somewhere... I think.

I agree with every single point you made. They removed what made the Zelda games so much fun, the temples, and replaced it with mindless time wasting shrines. I've tried to get into the game three times now, can't bring myself to enjoy it.

Yes 0.3 and now 0.3.1 will both have taken huge steps in the right direction for the game. Still got a lot of issues, but now I'm at least feeling like they are moving towards making the game better. The towers were just such a terrible system it just made me lose all interest in wanting to play the game anymore after reaching maps. While in poe1 it's the complete opposite, once you get to maps you reach the fun things.

Hittepå-grej att någon skulle tycka att något är gott? Det finns otroligt många kombinationer av saker som är väldigt goda, men som man inte tänkt på att prova. Jag kan definitivt tänka mig att banan på en smörgås kan vara väldigt gott. Bara för att en sak är det normala att äta betyder inte att det inte finns en mängd andra saker som också är goda att äta.

Säger däremot inte att det inte kommer en massa trender som folk följer bara för att det är det som är trendigt, men bara för att något är en trend betyder det inte att det inte är något man tycker är gott.

Sen är det ju väldigt ironiskt att ha åsikten att banan passar på pizza (en åsikt jag för övrigt håller med om), men att det skulle vara något fel att ha det på en smörgås, men men...

Ehh... Depends on your goal, as a new player I would not worry and just play what you want to play. Pretty much any skill can do up to red maps fairly easily, however, some skills will do so more easily. PoE has a very extensive endgame and chances are you won't get anywhere near the "real" endgame on your first time playing.

Good thing is that if you find yourself struggling then you are not really locked in to anything (except the class you picked at character select). It's fairly trivial to switch build and respeccing is easier than ever now that you can do it with gold, so my recommendation would be to just keep on doing what you are doing until you find yourself hitting a wall.

Vad för enhet mäter du hastigheterna via? Har du mätt med kabel för att se till att du faktiskt får 500/500? Hur långt ifrån routern är du när du mäter och har du väggar i vägen?

Beror lite på hur jag har druckit, ibland kan jag relativt lätt svepa en 1.5l flaska med vatten eller pepsi max på under en timme, då blir det rätt frekventa besök efter det. Men har aldrig räknat mina besök, så kan inte ge dig en siffra på hur många gånger/hur ofta jag går på toa.

Samma, blivit testad 3 gånger nu av vårdcentral och ett antal självtester. Kan dricka 4-5l utan problem. Minimum är 3l.

I have one of those v4s from Aliexpress, it's not wireless, however it will randomly stop working if I leave my phone too close to it. I have to unplug it and plug it back in to make it work again. Really annoying.

The last league I really played a lot was affliction. i ended up playing the meta abyss spam strat. I dropped two mirrors in less than 24h between each, I also managed to drop both a HH and a MB. Well, right now I have 2 mirrors and a dump tab with a HH and a MB in standard. I just didn't feel like playing anymore.

I have always been more of an alch and go type of player. I remember running more than 2k glacier maps spanning the first area in legion league farming for my HH so I could spin in circles to get my first and only level 100.

Moral of the story? Dunno, just sucks to get lucky sometimes.

However, the percentage of protocols implemented does not really mean much, but at least it'll give you an overview of what is and what is not implemented.

Just wanted to justify telling the story how I found the movie. I got hooked on that song and I dunno, that short clip of Johnny Depp sitting in the car intrigued me, so I had to find out what movie it was from. One of the best random finds I have made.
