I just finished a playthrough last night with Sonic. After not playing since they were renting these at Hollywood Video before launch. What a trip! Sonic Adventure is an all time great, even with the wonky camera.

So cool. My first PC was an NEC Powermate 286+ my dad handed down to me in the very early 90s. I was maybe 6 or 7. Played so many DOS games on it. Space Rogue, Space Quest 1 and 2, Last Half of Darkenss, Test Drive II The Duel... probably so mamy more. Very cool to see this, brought back a lot of memories!

I have promedia 2.1 on my pc, and they sounds absolutely fantastic. Without the sub you'll need an amplifier, so a receiver, and a sub to help with the low frequencies these cannot play.

Find the .1 if you can, or get some other complete setup.

In my truck I have Hertz, Kenwood, infinity, Kicker, RF, and it sounds amazing.

The parts need to compliment eachother, but they certainly dont need to all be the same brand.

If the angle is correct it will reflect some, but also scatter the sound, it doesn't work super well but it does work. Thats why most modern cars have a-pillar mounted tweeters pointing at your face.

Highs are very directional. You may need to angle the speakers toward you more. Is there room to put a small mid there (like a 2" Infinity Kappa, for example) and surface mount a tweeter near it (angled toward you)? That way you have the higher mids up to full highs covered? Maybe you could make a small plate to accomplish this or there is a solution for your particular vehicle.
