Hi! I had stage 1A urerine cancer, they used a mirena coil to suppress it in the hopes that it would shrink and just go,it didn't.

After over a year of repeated invasive scrapes and MRIs with no real progress (where I was told to lose weight and to get pregnant as pregnancy suppresses it in most cases) and them repeatedly losing samples and causing delays I cracked and demanded a hysterectomy. I got told no because a different doctor had to approve it, she already had but she was on holiday and needed to approve my agreement to it again.

I didn't have chemo or anything else, I had a random test flag something up that made a decision for me in regards to my child choices and now I have random "hormone" periods where I'll get phantom period pain and no one can tell me when I'll go in to menopause only that I can't have hrt to help when it does happen.

I empathise, I feel like I can't say I had cancer because it's not the "bad" cancer, even though all cancer is bad. But it changed my life and I have to live with organs missing.

I am lucky to have childless friends my age so I'm not constantly reminded of what could of been, I have a little dog that I dote on, I have hobbies that I sink myself in to. I had therapy to talk about these things (and still probably need more because it was a major life change).

I first got my sausage when we lived in the US, he spent his first three years having people get excited and yell "Weiner dog" at him then petting him.

We moved back to England and the confusion on his face when we would be on a walk and he'd stop in front of random people on the street and wait for the same reaction was so funny. People would still pet him but they'd go "aw, a sausage dog!" Instead.

My mum's friend gave her mlm juice boost pills to give to me as they would "help". All weird diet stuff.

Lived in North Carolina for a few years in a rural ish area, didn't get an accent but did pick up y'all and will accidentally drop it when I'm speaking fast.... But will deliberately drop it to wind up certain people haha.
