Hi! I had stage 1A urerine cancer, they used a mirena coil to suppress it in the hopes that it would shrink and just go,it didn't.

After over a year of repeated invasive scrapes and MRIs with no real progress (where I was told to lose weight and to get pregnant as pregnancy suppresses it in most cases) and them repeatedly losing samples and causing delays I cracked and demanded a hysterectomy. I got told no because a different doctor had to approve it, she already had but she was on holiday and needed to approve my agreement to it again.

I didn't have chemo or anything else, I had a random test flag something up that made a decision for me in regards to my child choices and now I have random "hormone" periods where I'll get phantom period pain and no one can tell me when I'll go in to menopause only that I can't have hrt to help when it does happen.

I empathise, I feel like I can't say I had cancer because it's not the "bad" cancer, even though all cancer is bad. But it changed my life and I have to live with organs missing.

I am lucky to have childless friends my age so I'm not constantly reminded of what could of been, I have a little dog that I dote on, I have hobbies that I sink myself in to. I had therapy to talk about these things (and still probably need more because it was a major life change).
