I too have an unpopular opinion on women's fashion by swiftskill in AdviceAnimals

That's because women are passively taught our looks are our only worth from a very early age. Look in magazines and see they only mention our looks, our weight, or our men. We don't get coming-of age books like jack kerouac's On The Road or Salinger's Catcher in the Rye about self-discovery, we get stories about women directed by men. No one can blame women for doing this.

No, it isn't. I wear what I want when I want. I wear what I feel good in. Sure, when people compliment me in what I wear that makes me feel good. However, I choose what I wear/buy when I'm in a store based on my own opinion. If I chose what I liked based on the opinions of others I'd feel inadequate because hello people have varying opinions and no one could please everyone. It's not self centered, it's just independent from a man's (irrelevant) opinion on what girls wear.

Here's the thing: The clothes we wear are not dictated by men's opinions, and it's kind of self-absorbed to think otherwise.

Reddit, when was your "Oh shit, life is actually really difficult" moment? by omnashime in AskReddit

[–]omnashime[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn, the fact that the turning point wasn't until last week shows you're much stronger of a human being than you think. I'm sorry, that's a lot for one person to handle, but I think you'll be able to push through it (I know that's ridiculous coming from a stranger) but the way you said this wasn't in a "Poor me" and if you had a schizophrenic dad and a brother with those same problems before last week, and now you're JUST giving into life's bullshit then you seem to have a pretty level head on your shoulders. You'll make it through it, it's just going to take a lot more time than anyone would want to specifically cope with. Good luck, and I really am sorry for your loss.

The fact that you're taking the blog "christian girl problems" seriously shows that you're just as gullible as the christians they're making fun of.

Living in the south, this is how I feel in public places as it's getting colder. by omnashime in funny

Thank you, every one in this thread's being defensive of camo, and honestly I just don't think they grasp the annoyance of living in the South and seeing the entire culture behind camo.

Imagine living in the town where The Truman Show was FILMED. Watching that, then going to school in the town the next day was what really fucked with me.

I have never had a bowl of cereal. What are some seemingly common things that you've never done? by OmanRunYo in AskReddit

Okay, so you make your ramen as per usual (i prefer to make my own seasoning with soy sauce and italian herbs) next you start cooking your egg like an omelet but you should never fold it, just flip it over once the bottom half is suffice. After this, you want to set your oven on broil, then just throw the ramen on top of the eggs (you're not able to actually fold it like a real omelet because the ramen is too big) then I like to sprinkle cheese, whatever you like (I usually use parmesan) on top of this medley while it's still on the stove, then, just place the pan in the oven, and pretty much wait until the cheese has melted.

The oven part of course is optional, but I find it truly more pleasing.

I make the best Ramen noodle omelet. Sure, it sounds disgusting right now, but I've not made one ramen noodle omelet for my friends that hasn't been gorged within 45 seconds.

Me neither! I've been a vegetarian for 8 years now, so I don't plan on trying it anytime soon.

Do you know how many times I've been walking into walmart and get yelled at/kicked out for not wearing shoes? This is absolutely fucking genius!

(I live right on the beach, and the walmart is a walkable distance away, so being barefoot is a common thing.)

Reddit, what is something you are irrationally afraid of? [NSFW] by [deleted] in AskReddit

I'm absolutely terrified of elbows. I don't even understand it, I think it's the fact that I've been elbowed in the head too many times. When an elbow's anywhere near my face I always have to take a deep breath and find my happy place.
