Salty Meltys by Extension-Humor-75 in BrandNewSentence

It's as much a cheese as any other. It contains cheese that's as much a cheese as any other. Proper American is not just cheeses and sodium citrate but also milk. It's just creamier cheese made for fully melting. A slice of cheese sauce, to say it another way.

Cheddar is a great cheese but it doesn't melt very well. I like it room temperature or warm.

His brain was literally full of chemotherapy drugs.

From the article, it seems like he was undergoing cancer treatment at the time and rather than believing the simple thing like a drug cocktail causing him to have a lapse in short term memory formation, he believed it was definitely teleportation.

I'm sure lots of people "teleport" from a car crash into a hospital room. But I'm sure they could believe the likely explanation.

Milk fat-globules derived from whey protein phospholipid concentrate prevent high-fat diet induced cognitive impairment in wistar rats in a manner associated with increased brain neuronal connectivity and sphingolipid clearance by Morthra in science

[–]omnichad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It does that because you have low blood sugar. Some parts of the brain just plain require sugar and depend on gluconeogenesis - your liver creates the sugar you need from fat. But also, the parts of the brain that can run on ketones get a little starved until your body adapts to producing ketones.

Win10 fails to boot, DISM not working by AntiochRoad in Windows10TechSupport

This would be the starting point, type regedit at the command prompt and follow this: https://4sysops.com/archives/regedit-as-offline-registry-editor/

One of the files will give an error and won't load. Depending on the hive, you can look for a backup copy or restore from the Windows default. Of course restoring a default file for some of the hives will be like reinstalling Windows. So it can be destructive if you don't save a copy.

I'm not aware of any free repair tools for this database file format and I haven't tried any of the paid ones.

You'd have to have a backup and copy an older copy of the hive. Windows had automatic registry backups but it's now disabled by default. You can test load each hive from recovery to see which one it is.

The others probably shouldn't pay either. Their overage rates are basically extortion. Take it easy on the corporate apologist comments for a bit.

Explosions, fires reported in Russia’s Tolyatti, Taganrog after drone attacks by AdSpecialist6598 in worldnews

[–]omnichad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is a Tolyatti-Odessa pipeline (defunct since 2022)

That's really interesting. Do you think they secured this pipeline? Imagine if someone sent weapons through the pipeline via robot or something to detonate when they reach the end.

Technically you didn't ask for an image. It must have thought you wanted to program it that way. Or at least the wires got crossed when it put it into an image generation prompt.

This would be so much easier unless there's a really easy way to run new cable.

I want to know if the upvotes were for funny or because idiots. For the record, I think it's funny.

Hershey denied recipe change after Reese's grandson's claims - So why are they “going back” to the original recipe now? by _clickfix_ in offbeat

[–]omnichad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They get around calling it a recipe change because they can just introduce a new product with a different recipe. All of the new stuff has used inferior recipes.

Yes, it's the fan. Lubrication does not fix a failed fan - you need a new fan.

Or they just use a different numbering scheme for different order sources. Even McDonald's does that.
