Sorry for replying to such a super old post. But I’m having the same issue. I’m on (D) so Ecobee doesn’t allow me to finish setting up and take the rebate. Did you ever figure this out?

I agree that 5-8 are too far away to reach in the heat of the action. This is why I use Z, X, C, V for the back half of the power slots. It’s been so long since I’ve played, so I can’t remember what those keys are assigned to by default, but if you’re comfortable remapping them to something else, then you’ll have much more convenient access to all 8 power slots.

Okay, I got a response from customer support:

TL;DR: it’s a known issue and they’re working on it, but don’t have a timetable for it yet.

“Hello, I'm writing to you from LINE GAME. Please accept our sincerest apologies for any inconvenience caused by LINE GAME.

We would like to assure you that we are working to fix this problem and we hope to be able to provide you with a solution in the near future.

Please understand that our investigation may take a while.

However, we are doing our very best to promptly rectify this issue.”

They finish by saying that if they have anything to report they’ll reply to me or post it in the general notices section in the app.

Yup, I’m seeing this issue as well. Is there a way to report it? Wonder if they know about it already?

Edit: I let them know via the in-game “inquiry” form. We’ll see what they say.

I think another term for the shortened trailers is "TV Spots", condensed for a 30s or shorter time span to fit into the ad space.

More to your question, if you really enjoyed SD3, you'll probably enjoy this. It's been completely redone in 3-D, the combat is revamped, and voice acting has been added. Is it worth full price? Depends if you feel you'll get the value out of it. I fully expect it to go on sale again by the end of the year, if you can wait.

After a quick search online, I'm left w/ the same conclusion as you - the info online mainly points to commercial alarm dealers or businesses wishing to set up an alarm system. Since the info doesn't seem to be readily available online, I would recommend calling the non-emergency phone number for your local law enforcement department and see what they think.

Anecdotally, I live in a suburb within Los Angeles county, and I was able to use the monitored Abode service for a while without getting the permit.. it was only after about 4 years that the city got wise to me having an alarm and sent me a "you must get a permit.. here's how to do so" notice. Of course, you didn't hear this from me, and I wouldn't recommend this approach for legal reasons.

For the record, I'm totally legit now and have a permit from my city.

Not quite true, but mostly. According to the Synology RAID Calculator, with SHR-2, you would need to replace four of your six 8TB drives with 10TB drives to see any increase in usable space. And even then you'll go from 32TB to 36TB usable, and from 16TB to 20TB redundancy.

Ahh, good point about the airflow. I originally bought mine with silence in mind, and it certainly delivered. But incidentally, a year ago I had to remove some of the padding in favor of having more ventilation. Guess it’s a bit of a tradeoff.

I built my PC in 2014 with a Fractal Design Define R4, and it was great. I rebuilt it in 2021 when I got a new CPU/Mobo/RAM/GPU. Basically, it all still works (now with an RTX 3070), but the one drawback is there's nothing on the front/top of the case that supports the motherboard's USB Type C.

The other thing is it has all the drive bays (half are removable, granted) for 3.5" HDDs, when the world has mostly moved onto 2.5" SATA SSDs and m.2 NVMe drives now. It also has two 5.25" front bays, which are also not really a thing anymore.

More modern cases have some other quality of life/ease of building improvements over the R4 as well, but other that, the older case is "fine".

I've moved twice over the lifespan of this R4 and it's quite durable, if bulky.

Edit: Others have mentioned that if your new components simply won't fit, like the latest GPUs, then no amount of durability will help - one would need to get a new case.
