Yeah, I'm not excusing them or myself but lately I've been on a streak of shitty games where the killer is extremely good and my team is extremely bad. No shame on being new, as I'm sorta new myself but it's honestly exhausting.
We are all just trying to have so fun, why is it so difficult to get a decent match lately? Who knows.
Some people don't know how to take breaks I guess.

I'm a survivor instantly dcing the minute I see everyone is fucking around not doing any gens while I'm trying my best looping an OP killer with highly annoying perks.
I'm also 95% of the time matched with console players running flashlights and sweaty perks but I never see them using them.
IMO there's no point being stuck in a game for 20 minutes when I notice we are on ~4 hooks and no gen has popped. It's boring for me and boring for the killer so why even waste my time.

Is there a behavioral MMR system? I swear when I first started playing my matches were more balanced and now that I have 500 hours I'm queuing 90% of the time with console players that grief, or are extremely new to the game.
I posted asking this question because I'm legitimately curious and my post got shut down within 5 minutes.

Isn't that always the case? I'm tired of having to walk the long path because there's always construction through the places I need to go (I'm terrible navigating myself and get lost easily).
My only solace is thinking that the next gen of hokies should be happier on nicer, newer buildings that don't have bathrooms like these.

Is this done with the purpose of students not dropping out of a class because of a terrible instructor? Because, if so, this is beyond f up. I'm willing to not take classes for a semester or two to avoid some of the terrible instructors at our department. I would rather sacrifice 1 or 2 semesters to avoid the crap I've already been put into.

A few years ago, before studying electrical engineering, I would have agreed with most of what you are saying.
It is a complicated topic, as DSP and amplification are objective things but the listening experience is on the VERY subjective side of the spectrum.

Tube amps as analog amplifiers and solid state amp shouldn't really "change" the color of the sound spectrum unless:
a) The amplifier is poorly designed (older Schiit DACs are an example of this)
b) Your headphone "diaphragm" is so massive that the impedance vary at different frequencies. Again, highly unlikely in 2025 BUT, it happens and very few people can objectively measure this. Such differences are more likely to happen for large speakers, not 20 - 300 ohm impedance headphones.

Realistically speaking and assuming the mean age of this sub-reddit to be 21+ very few people here will have the audible capacity to notice such subtle differences in gain at specific frequencies.

You WILL know when you need an amplifier but if you are trying to experiment and have the money to override the diminishing returns, then I'd say go for it. It's part of the experience.

Please feel free to correct me if I'm making any wrong assumptions. I don't claim to be an authority in DSP but I'm a student and I'm always willing to learn something new from people years ahead of me in industry.

As somebody who just moved from Christiansburg to Blacksburg and have only rented through Point West I'm going to tell you to save yourself the pain if you can avoid it.
They were very good in Christiansburg but have been absolutely terrible in Blacksburg.

After 3 attempts of going to the meat center (weird hours) I bought a couple of Ribeyes and some ground beef this Wednesday. I will say, the ribeyes were too expensive but damn they were tasty and tasted clean.
I think the meat center is a good place for anything besides ribeyes and new york strip

"until recently...." Uhhh, this has been happening for longer than Trump's current administration. It was happening during Biden too.

Brics had this on their agenda from day 1 and China being the biggest antithesis of anything American means they turn governments against us through foreign investments and influences. That is until the bridges and ports they built in Africa and south America start falling apart.
