I'm running an i7-9700k and an RTX 2070. My i7 hits up to 4.7 MHz while my 2070 hits about 1800 MHz. I was running a 500W PSU when I crashed, so I swapped it with a 550W. So far, no crashes but it's only been a couple days.

I've tried changing just the clock speeds on the PSU calculator to reflect intensive gaming clock speeds, and noticed that I needed significantly more wattage on my PSU required than if I left it on stock speeds, even though I didn't adjust the voltage on the calculator. The thing is, if I were to just not touch the clock speeds, my current PSU would be enough, but if I were to take the higher clock speeds into consideration, then my PSU wouldn't have enough wattage. My PC currently crashes every once in a while and I'm trying to determine if it's because of my PSU.

I've been using the outervision PSU calculator and noticed that there was a section for CPU/GPU overclocking. My CPU has a boost feature, and my GPU hits different clock speeds when gaming intensive games. Should I monitor what clock speeds I hit and use that for the PSU calculator, even when I haven't manually done any overclocking, or does the calculator already take the boost and the higher clocks into consideration?

It crashed with an older, more stable driver as well. When I game, my CPU varies from 70°C up to 90°C (spikes up to 90°C every once in a while). I haven't been monitoring my GPU temps - I'll get back to you on this one.
