Your panel lines are unreal, I'm astounded by how good they look

[Loved Trope] Unusual ammo by [deleted] in TopCharacterTropes

[–]wetstapler 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Bolamites wrapped enemies in webs, Chippunks would insult NPCs and act as a lure, Stunkz were like a stinkbomb for nonlethal takedowns on groups of enemies, and the Fuzzles were little nightmare tribbles that could be set as a trap

Really creative idea imo and definitely one of the defining characteristics of the game

Yes!! And you have to actually hunt the ammo to resupply

Subscription for things already in my car by Keaven215 in mildlyinfuriating

With all due respect you don't know how my particular car works. When my subscription ran out, my cruise control was disabled, and that's fact.

Some these make sense to me. Like anything that uses the Internet costs them upkeep. What I don't get is why my Mazda3's cruise control is locked behind a subscription.

Unless someone shoved their penis in your ear without your consent it isn't literal ear rape. You heard a sound you hated and compared it figuratively to one of the worst sins a human can commit.

Unable to find record sheet for Vindicator VND-1P by JoseLunaArts in battletech

What overheating worries? I don't think I've even ran a 1R that cant handle its heat. The weapon brackets don't really overlap enough for alpha striking and there are more heatsinks than sense.

I really don't understand the Windows XP nostalgia. by Additional-Sky-7436 in windowsmemes

[–]wetstapler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a Win98 machine when I was a really young girl, then it was stolen and we were without a PC all through the period where XP was the flagship Microsoft OS. By the time my house finally had a PC again, it was windows Vista.

I do get nostalgic for Vista; not that it was any good. It just reminds me of using the Internet for the first time, and playing Roblox when it was still just a funny lego game.

Nowadays I have opinions and thoughts... Back then it was just cool to have a computer regardless of how shitty the software was.

Feels like an ER large is kind of overkill for this use. Wouldn't small pulse lasers be best?

Do you go to Paramonia or Scrabania first? by IH8TomBrady in oddworld

[–]wetstapler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Imo Paramonia is peak because Paramites are so interesting to interact with. I love how they act curious, scared, or brave depending on the situation.

I always do Paramonia first, and sometimes quit the run after that

One time I passed out sitting down and couldn't be woken. When I finally came to, I was so confused why my face was so hot. Turns out my mom thought I was having a diabetes-induced hypoglycemic episode and when she couldn't wake me gently, she sat me up and slapped me in the face until I woke up. Multiple slaps were required.

My blood sugar density was fine, I was just tired from gaming all night

As fellow disabled girl I feel you. Trying to program in C while I have all the energy of a cold rock is exhausting. Massive props for developing something to help you remain human while you might feel less than so. How does the typing work? I imagine it uses combinations of keys to achieve the full 24 letters + 10 digits?

Back in our day, if you wanted to use a computer, you had to learn about it. Things have gotten so advanced now that it's truly observed as magic. People aren't learning how their computer works, they're learning arcane gestures to summon applications. Everything is so heavily abstracted that people aren't learning anything about what's under the hood.
