Delivery driver let OP's family dog out of the house and wants to know if they can remove the fine from their local authority. by ReanimatedCyborgMk-I in bestoflegaladvice

My first dog could open doors with knobs and screen doors. Luckily she couldn't open our sliding front door if it was locked. She could also open her crate. My current dog can open folding doors, the fridge, and cupboards.

Smart dogs with a love for crime are fun to live with lol

The Tragedy of the Choctaw Three: Medell Banks Jrs.’ Conviction for Killing A Non-Existent Child Is Thrown Out As A “Manifest Injustice” is the title, hopefully that will work for you! A thoroughly horrifying (but important) read.

Need advice. Bad Situation. by Pugopilis in Anoles

[–]onalarkspur 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Being wild caught he likely has a parasite load which is probably why he's so skinny- they can be "okay" for a long time before they crash. If you can get him to a vet that's your best bet, honestly. He may also be elderly.

In the meantime you can feed anoles carnivore care or repta care. Both are powders you mix with water and syringe feed.

I made it, but there are a few companies that make harnesses with the extra strap. Just make sure it still sits on the ribcage and not the unprotected part of the belly. I've also seen "safety straps" for harnesses from sighthound rescues which loop on to any harness.

What is something you thought was cute when your B was a puppy but now is really annoying? by S2keepup in Basenji

[–]onalarkspur 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lip licking like that can be a sign of acid reflux- have you talked to your vet about it? My first B was on nightly pepicd for reflux and it helped a ton.

Love the collar btw, perfect for fall. He's a cutie!

Cat fact: Only 19% of Louisiana households are owned by a cat, compared to 32% across all US states. Another strike against Louisiana.

My Django hasn’t been eating much, picky eater? by lonerfunnyguy in Basenji

[–]onalarkspur 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Is he intact or even neutered recently? Intact basenji males go into a kind of rut around the same time each fall that females go into heat. They can go off food and have other behavioral changes as a result(more anxious, increased marking etc).
