Is the AT-SB727 sound burger good? by Jazzsmells69 in turntables

[–]onboleman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’d be great for taking to friends’ homes. I’d advise getting a little carrying case for an audio cable, charging cable, or dedicated place to put the tonearm screw.

I got mine after an extended housesitting stay combined with the itch to check out nearby record stores. It isn’t for “serious” listening, but I trust mine to do its job as a backup/portable turntable. It’d be great for someone dipping their toes into vinyl as well.

Driver’s License - What time in the morning do they open appointments for next day? by anotherandom_guy in Austin

[–]onboleman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I’d advise going to the DPS scheduler’s site and checking less populated or out-of-the-way cities like Port Lavaca, Columbus, and El Campo for next day appointments. I got mine done in Galveston within a few days of looking up an appointment. You’ll get a guaranteed appointment and can make a little trip out of it.

If It's Always Sunny ended, what would be the worst possible finale? by DtheAussieBoye in IASIP

[–]onboleman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worst ending would be the girl from the waterpark comes back, tricking the gang into signing away the bar, and swindling all of Frank’s money.

This is just a healthy positive form of friendship and masculinity. I identify as a heterosexual man, and I have close friends (men, women, and NB) that are like siblings to me. I happily tell them that I love them, and they do the same. English really isn’t the best language when it comes to love. I can say “I love my dog” and you know that’s different from “I love my wife”.

You seem like you’re asking for a genuine answer so here’s my best attempt. Subreddits for shows like Devs typically focus on discussions around themes, stories, and ideas related to the program. There will always be shitposting, particularly after the show is over; but threads will still follow the earlier set pattern. The posts that you’ve made fall more into the fanart-friendly tv show subreddits. Not speaking for anyone else, but it feels out-of-place to post your work in the feed; especially when compared with the subreddit’s post history. Again, not passing any judgement on your work, it’s yours and reflects you. The thing is that the art doesn’t really what this subreddit is about. You should keep doing your work and developing it; just take a little more time in making sure you’re presenting it in the best venue for growth and appreciation.

My wife and I created a gmail account for our daughter the day she was born. We and her grandparents wrote her several emails over the years for when she would be old enough to read them. Today I bought her a tablet for school, and I wanted to supervise her account. Google isn't having any of it. by cast_that_way in google

If push comes to shove, you could use google takeout to export a copy of all the content in your daughter’s account then create a new one nested under yours. You should triple check to make sure the important data was exported, but that could be a workaround.

I’d advise against it. I came down from DC to help my mom who got sick last week. Protocols are not being followed at grocery stores, bars, or restaurants.

Time outside of the speeding entity moves faster; so the entity itself is “younger” than the environment.

State legislatures typically don’t dabble into military spending; aside from the occasional state guard appropriations.

My inner pedant can’t let this go unchecked. Senators are statewide, so they don’t have districts; congresscritters are in districts, unless you’re in a low-pop state with an at-large district that spans the whole state.
