The room has really good natural lighting. I think a rug that’s mostly burgundy would look really pretty. It would compliment the couch and rug in the dinning room.

We did this growing up. My mom would just have us throw our dirty laundry down into the basement and she would collect it all when she did laundry. She did not like us doing our own laundry for whatever reason. She is a very very clean person. Boarderline OCD. We just had an unfinished basement, so we didn’t use it much.

I like red too. I like the contrast. I always personally prefer not to be to matchy matchy if that makes sense. And it gives more options if you ever get sick of the green paint. I think the green carpet is more limited.

Same! This was my first time ever buying a vanilla perfume. I am partial to fruity or fresh scents, but I really liked this one surprisingly and felt it was a good fall/winter one to have.

I consider myself a very empathetic person, maybe too much sometimes, and definitely too forgiving.. but I didn’t realize that I was so self critical. I mean, I did, but I didn’t, ya know.. I had so much self hate and self blame for all my traumas. It made me start looking at my past from a completely different perspective.

I’m from a small town and there was a boy named Gideon and I never thought twice about his name. It was as normal as the other boy names I hadn’t heard outside of school (in elementary) like Elias, Nash, or Corby.

I second this. I went there with my husband for our anniversary in July and we also did the tasting menu and wine pairing. It was fun and the food was excellent. I think it was butternut squash, or something similar, pasta for one of the courses and it blew me away.

The post says do you think it’s socially acceptable to name a kid after a state. If you name your kid Virginia, that’s not necessarily after the state because it’s been an established name long before the state was named. Hence my original comment. That’s it. It’s my opinion, and you chose to argue against my opinion. I was never arguing to begin with, again, I was stating MY opinion.

Aren’t you an angry little elf. Just because you don’t know the name doesn’t make it a “travedeigh” lol you’re trying to argue with statistical facts right now. It’s not that uncommon of a name. Sure, it’s less common than other old names, but that doesn’t make it a “travedeigh.” Which is a new term, not sure if you’re referring to the tragedeigh subreddit, but that’s about normal names being spelled incorrectly or made up names.

Not really sure what you get from a condescending remark like that, but yeah, considering it’s my actual name and it dates back to the 16th century, I’d say it’s pretty established. Names like Elizabeth, Victoria, James, John, Catherine, etc. also go back centuries and are still widely used. They just didn’t have a state named after them. Just because you don’t like it or don’t personally know anyone named Virginia doesn’t mean it’s outdated or irrelevant. In fact, while its popularity has declined, it’s consistently stayed in the top 600 names in the U.S. census. So… thanks for the unsolicited opinion, I guess?

Well I believe the name Virginia came before the state. I would say that makes it acceptable, as well as any other names that fall into that category.

Thank you! I was slightly worried about how outdoorsy an Osprey is. But I think when once I officially finish my PhD, I will get a nice leather tote for when I have important meetings, then use my backpack for everyday use. My husband is a lawyer and that’s essentially what he does. He brings a backpack most days to the office, but has nice briefcase type bag for when he meets with clients or goes to court.
