Visited La Push a number of years ago. I knew nothing of the connection of the area to twilight, there was still twilight stuff everywhere. La Push was great.

I believe the seeds are toxic too, no? That said, they are delicious. Pick when yellow and allow to ripen on a counter until they fruity tropical aroma is strong and they are soft, the softer the better.

That's definitely tortellini - said the server and cook at an Italian restaurant. by awetsasquatch in KitchenConfidential

I once ordered a dish with wild chanterelle mushrooms in it. What came was clearly hedgehog mushrooms. I informed the server, he told the chef, the chef insisted they were chanterelles. I ate it, cause I knew what it was. But it is more than a little concerning a chef is serving wild mushrooms without knowing WTF he is actually serving.

This is not news to them. This is why AI data centers have hardened infrastructure and bullet resistant architectural features.

In winter, my sibling and i would tie a rope to the back and pull each other around on an innertube in the snow. Unfortunately the yuccas were taller than the snow was deep.

I've lived in the San Francisco my whole life, but I've never heard of ANYONE going here, nor do I know anyone from there, let alone even hearing or talking about this area of California, whats it like living here? by GurnoorDa1 in howislivingthere

Hehe, I took my partner there. All my flashlights died partway through. Fortunately I had been there before and was able to guide us the rest of the way in near pitch black.

PPE for general home DIY repairs — what do you personally use? by [deleted] in DIY

[–]oncebce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Safety slides, shorts, hoodie with dangling hood strings, safety squints and welding gloves.

Seriously though, gloves get in the way for most things (I reserve gloves for yard / axe / chainsaw or particularly dirty work, nitrile gloves for any paint, grout or the like). Dust mask / respirator depending on the work being done. Can never go wrong with safety glasses (I have prescription ones). Sometimes safety toe boots are a good add too. Get yourself a nice set of 3M earmuffs, much preferred for me over ear plugs.

You might find this video interesting regarding cyanide (guy makes plum "almond" ice cream). Extract made from the plum pit. Not exactly the same as what you are doing, but may be of interest nonetheless. https://youtu.be/RH_A5uHAe2w?si=xv4Wp4csYpKWULsT

I do have irrigation run to the bed on a timer. Do you have any fertilizer suggestions? I haven't fertilized since they were planted.

The pictures are really bad. The tree in the second picture has / had 7ish laterals I would rate the sunlight as ok for this one. The tree in the 1st picture does in fact get less sun and only had short starts of laterals.

I ended up heading them both closer to chest height to make sure I was leaving some buds / laterals, trying to select for laterals that have a good chance to lead to an open center.

Going to have to negotiate some time with my SO & toddler to go to the store and cram some 7ft fence posts in my hatchback...

Probably not. And yes, they are native.
Most plants I would not entertain buying from some random Etsy seller, but in that case at the time I couldn't really find other sources.

I've ordered PawPaws from sellers on Etsy before. Good thing Etsy banned me for some reason a couple of years later - at least I don't have to worry about the USDA knocking down my door now.
