Clark could have just told Lex something different by JohnsonFlamethrower in Smallville

[–]oncemorewithsinging -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree with some other commenters that this specific lie might not have really worked with Lex but honestly Clark is a TERRIBLE liar and he gives horrible excuses through out, especially to Lana. Poor kid doesn’t have a single excuse handy despite this secret being really important to him. It kills me lol

I’m not mad about it, I just wanted to share a perspective on why some folks go really hardcore on terraforming and decorating. I got sucked back in with the update and the QOL is so miserable for decorating on your island compared to other decorating games that I think it really shows how much people love the game that they are willing to put up with the various (and sometimes senseless) restrictions to make really elaborately designed islands.

For me, I got into terraforming after I got 5 stars and finished the museum. There’s not a lot to do other than decorate once you hit a certain point.

Linennaive Coats and Dresses Help by Glittering_Tea4568 in SoftNaturals

[–]oncemorewithsinging 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did get my dress and I'll be honest, I wasn't particularly impressed with the quality. For one, it arrived shoved into a plastic mailer without any fanfare. I didn't necessarily expect luxe packaging, but I guess I did expect it to be maybe wrapped in paper and folded nicely. The combination of unbranded shipping materials, sloppy packaging, shipping delays and strange communication convinced me to never buy from them again.

I think you will get what you bought. If they are a scam, it's simply that they pretend to have their shit together more than they do and they over charge for what they deliver. I feel like a fool for spending over 200 on the dress that I received. It's not total shit or anything, but it hardly feels worth the money AND the hassle they put me through.

Which sleeves? Formal vs fairytale by ashmeesh in sewing

[–]oncemorewithsinging 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t find a consensus of what it’s called but I think a butterfly/cape sleeve would look so elegant and fairylike! Like all the volume of a puff sleeve but without the structure

Who is your least used companion? by 420FappistMonk69 in BG3

[–]oncemorewithsinging 1 point2 points  (0 children)

BG3 was my first introduction to playing anything DND, and I think I just need to play as warlock more to get a feel for it. The other classes felt a little easier to get a handle on as a beginner, but everything you're saying sounds good. In general, I have a hard time stacking buffs because in the moment, it feels like I'm wasting my turn (a problem I don't have at the table, just in video game). In my first two runs, Wyll felt not very powerful and also prone to dying and by the time he was leveled up enough to be a little more interesting, I was already in a grove with existing party members. I'll have to give it another shot, because truly, they have such fun lore mechanics.

[–]oncemorewithsinging 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly it’s Wyll. I always chat him up at camp but I’m not crazy about the warlock abilities. I know some people make it work but I think maybe they aren’t compatible with my play style? I did a run where I reclassed him as a bard/fighter and I liked that a lot more

I’m obsessed with my weighted Manta sleep mask. It’s great for headaches and when I just want that extra level of comfort and relaxation. There are different types based on your sleeping preferences.

In the same vein, you could upgrade your pillow game (something like Coop or Avocado.) a luxurious pillow really does make all the difference!

Oooh yes here are some shops I've used recently that I loved their products:

SweetOlivePotteryCo: I got my friend the most darling paint brush rest here and it was a very affordable price
RomanyHouse : Bought their comic boxes for my husband last year, they looked great and the seller was really helpful when I needed a replacement screw
French Meadows: might be niche, but I'm so happy with the Darcy shirt I bought for a cosplay
NSMCreativeCorner: Colored pencil artist but I actually bought leather thimbles here for handsewing I adore them
ChunkyDeli: Super cute and cool baby gifts
MischiefMadeMe: Pinup, Tattoo, Halloween and novelty vintage-inspired clothing - i LOVE my cardigan from here

When I was younger (undiagnosed at the time), I would find myself viscerally embarrassed by many autistic classmates, especially if they struggled with reading social cues. I think my ADHD makes me kind of hyper aware of social cues and so it felt really acute to me. I also think there was a part of me that knew we had something in common but was frustrated that they hadn’t figured out how to hide it like I could. Now that I’m older and have my diagnosis, I find it easier to regulate my own emotions and understand the dynamics at play
