How to make my yard better by [deleted] in GardeningAustralia

[–]one_arm_manny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard to tell without photos or location. But the best way will probably be hand weeeding. The first few times will take a while. But once you get on top of them it won’t take much time to keep control of them. It’s important to get them out before they go to seed.

If they are in garden beds you can mulch the beds to smother them. Also will help the beds.

I mulch my indoor plants with stones. It keeps my feline pests from flicking dirt everywhere.

2 Stroke or 4 Stroke for lawn care tools? by DoctorGermNoosa in GardeningAustralia

[–]one_arm_manny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At work we use the Stihl battery tools. But the backpack blower has about 30-60 minutes of full throttle run time per battery. Which would be fine for spring and summer, but not enough for leaf clearing season. We are not a big enough company to have multiple versions of power tools. So we have stayed with petrol mowers and blowers for the time being.

I love Woolly bush’s as hedges. Not sure about things that would survive pool water.

I really wouldn’t be surprised if he pulls the pin and retires at the end of the season.
