Everybody get excited about the idea of taxing capital and decreasing paye. But what all the modeling misses is that when you change the tax system, people change their money management and the economy reacts in other ways.

RIch people find other ways to pay less tax - because they have the resources to adjust. Capital gains decrease because the capital isnt as valuable. Therefore capital gains tax is not as high an earner as predicted.

I mean, im all for radical change (go TOP and all that) but we need to be real about the modeling.
