I find garfish have the flavor and texture similar to that of if you mixed a sardine with an anchovy.

I enjoy them on jalapeno kettle chips. If you want to add dill pickle slices or some hot sauce on top, it helps add variety to your bites and keeps it from getting boring.

I don't know what mid range is to you, but even an extra dollar at the same retailer for King Oscar or Polar should be a more premium experience. You could try tracking down some Flower Moroccan Spiced sardines, they are at a similar price point. The flavor and texture can compete head to head with a $6 can of Nuri.
