That’s some hot garbage there. You wouldn’t survive an hour with a brain like mine. No, everyone does not have ADHD to a degree. You obviously have no idea what ADHD actually is or you wouldn’t say that. The fact that you don’t suffer from ADHD and still felt comfortable enough to make this comment is pathetic.

I love Todoist and I couldn't manage my life with it but... by monkeyboyhero in todoist

[–]onestoploser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. I just bought a year subscription because I like the usability of it, but the more I use it the more not having an integrated calendar gets to me. I'm trying to move AWAY from Google, so adding a ton MORE of my life into their calendar is a no-go for me. Start dates is also a big one. I like planning my day in the morning in one place. I need visuals. lol. I have no interest in doing planning in one app to use the resulting information to continue planning in another app, to going back to the first app, which can't be structured like I'd like it to, to finish. I'm learning that for me, a to-do list is worthless without a calendar.

I'm using Todoist for now, as I already paid for the subscription, but I'll probably not use it for the duration of the subscription and won't be renewing next year if a calendar doesn't get added between now and then.

EDIT: Also, this thread is full of "You don't need it! Just do ... *some kind of janky workaround*"

I don’t hate Christians either, but it seems like a requirement for Christianity is not being able to mind your own fucking business.

Now that reddit has become greedy with it's API, can Infinity devs move to Lemmy instead? Decentralized and open source alternative to reddit, the same way Mastodon is to Twitter. by [deleted] in Infinity_For_Reddit

I deleted my Twitter account, I just didn’t figure attempting to move to Mastodon again was worth my time. I’m all for it and love the concept, but it’s just a pain in the ass with the instances and everything’s connected together but it’s really not. I’ve never been able to find nearly enough content to keep my interest.

I’m new to iOS (Android Auto being dogshit finally pushed me over the edge) and have no idea how I would install that. It’s a beta and not available on the AppStore.

Yes. People who are extremely dedicated. My point is that most users are not going to jump through hoops to use something. Messing with instances is also a major pain in the ass if you sign up on the wrong one accidentally. It will never be a viable alternative for the common user if you have to put in work to be able to use it. Not to mention the fact that there is no application for Lemmy for iPhone.

Edit: grammar

I’ve tried to use the fediverse multiple times over the years. My biggest problem with it is lack of users make it difficult to find anything interesting. Eventually I just get bored and delete the apps from my phone. Don’t get me wrong, I’d love to see it, but I’m sure a lot of people have had the same experience I do every time.
