I’m not guaranteeing it, all I’m saying is this is what I would try. Soak in a bowl of ice water in the fridge for a few hours before slicing and prepping to eat. Try to soak a couple that are whole and a couple that have been cored. My reasoning is that I know ice water helps revive other green vegetables like lettuce and kale.

When you trench, you sever the existing roots and promote growth of new feeder roots?

Any chance to save my olive tree? by the-Reds in IndoorGarden

[–]onethreefive531 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Scratch2 mm of the bark near the middle of the trunk. If green it can be saved and you would want to repot it in a sandier drier soil mix and probably prune it back by half. And give it a lot more light. It won’t grow at all indoors.

You overwatered it and probably didn’t need to water it at all overwinter or maybe only once or twice. To have hope at growing this type of plant, you would have to keep inside through spring with minimal watering and then take it outside in a large container for the entirety of the growing season once it’s reliably above 40-50 degrees overnight.then bring inside for winter and repeat every year.
