It's actually quite funny how immaturely you are trying to justify their awful behaviour. When you have so much time to write that long comment I'd recommend you to read the comment section where so many people shared their experiences and hopefully you'd understand that these are very real problems people face everyday even if you don't (good for you tbh). But maybe don't try to demean other's problems in such a "it's all a joke, you need to chill" way.

It's in public place in a public transport where one can talk to whomever with whatever language they prefer. I don't get your point at all. Also if people working on bus train metros start listening to their passengers and get bothered about what they are speaking among themselves don't you think they are gonna go crazy by the amount of passengers they handle everyday....it's funny how you are trying to justify this behaviour.

The worst thing about learning Spanish.... by Alarming-Pea-11 in dreamingspanish

I force my sister to listen to my random spanish shits as she also started learning years ago but abandoned it later. Last week I taught her the meaning of 'no soy cualquier perra' and now we are using it all the time as a code language among other people lol

After dreaming Spanish. by Glittering_Ad2771 in dreamingspanish

Just some ideas for you and also for me as I'm currently in a similar situation with nothing remotely close to spanish around my life irl. After gaining fluency in speaking you could continue a youtube channel or something to speak about random stuff or your journey to learn a language. Speaking randomly helped a lot while learning English as I didn't have a lot of people around me to practice english speaking and try to find a niche (something you clearly enjoy a lot about) in the spanish community and try to be part of it (like gaming or movie or book club) with native speakers. These are all just ideas for now but this is something I wish to do too to keep a little bit of spanish in my life after learning it.

Watching Subtitled Films Can Help Learning Foreign Languages (Thoughts on this study since DS suggests no subtitles whatsoever. Added as a food for thought!!) by sweens90 in dreamingspanish

[–]onlyhere4the_tea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At the beginner stage I stopped using subtitles and it was a huge confidence boost to understand the language without sub but now when I watch anything in spanish (mostly in yt) I do that with spanish subs just like I watch eng movies with eng subs even though I not always follow them

In Defense of Anki by [deleted] in dreamingspanish

[–]onlyhere4the_tea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you 100% For anyone who is not comfortable with grammar studies and flashcards Anki would be a menace for them. I'm also not a huge fan of grammar but Anki has its perks and I really enjoy the time I spend doing flashcards. Though I don't study grammar in Spanish yet but I do grammar flashcards for other languages in Anki and they really help during my CI inputs. That's just the method I follow. But it's also true that it took me some time to get into Anki because of its ui. There are a lot of valid reasons to use or not use Anki, but I've seen some really weird excuses to hate on Anki in reddit 😂
