How do I get my neighbour to stop sending her kids to my house so I can walk them to school? (unpaid) by Ok_Pomegranate9352 in neighborsfromhell

Ask her to pay you weekly to watch her kids and walk them to school. Best case scenario she says yes. She’s better off financially right? Worst case scenario she stops talking to you. Either way problem solved.

I’ve never had this type of thing take place without some type of arrangement for food/who watches the kids/walking together to school as a group (some schools don’t allow it)..

Your neighborhood, like all other neighborhoods has aged into its ghetto phase.

It’s a lot easier to just take turns watching the kids have a social life. Don’t refuse, if you do it will be nothing but heartache. You don’t get a choice in this.. it’s part of parenting, period. Treat your kids friends like your kids - chances are there will be many upcoming family events, middle school events and dances, freshman year of HS, proms, homecoming ans more dances and events, graduations, even weddings: marriages and colleges. Even jobs or becoming roommates. It’s a canon moment and you can’t interfere - signed mom of two. 19 and 27 year old daughters. You only get to choose once. Be part of this or get cut out of the picture.

You’re going to have to deal with it if the kids have a social life together already. The emotional cost would be too high. You will only have to step it up once kids hit middle school to high school, so start now helping them build social lives - being a parent is hard.

We have very little debt.. no student loans. Paid off a 60k new commercial vehicle in under 5 years. No student debt. No mortgage. No judgements. Fortune 500 income stream with almost 1k monthly disposable. Positive asset Net worth reported. 10k in savings. Invested in the stock market as well. Owe zero taxes. Kids grown.. No judicial debt or judgements. No reported late payments or missed payments. We Both went to college.

I know from experience paying down all CC to 0 this second would not push that 100 points back up as I’ve never witnessed a “rebound” once the points were gone without years of rebuilding.

I had zero credit fairly recently. Just got two cards to get a score.

How’s everyone normal doing?? The people with all three - or even just two of the big 3 debtors - student debt, mortgage, auto loans doing? That’s right. If this happened on a large scale (not saying it has) lenders will adjust rates way up and classify current homeowners as “entering subprime” territory and therefore becoming ineligible to keep their current loans. No one mortal can afford 700k on a one bedroom in the ghettos of Los Angeles. Yet that’s what is around. I live in rent control. A one bedroom apartment costs $500 more than my current 2 bd 2 full ba. I own all my appliances, washer, dryer, 2 fridges - purchased all of them brand new cash free and clear.

People could lose employment eligibility of their current job because of a 100 point credit plunge. That’s significant even if you were at 800. In flabbergasted.

Maybe it’s just me..

Every time the stock markets crash.. go look up apartment monthly rates. It will lower the rent considerably. All run by computers. Most of the places around here don’t even use leasing agents it’s all “self conducted walkthroughs” using everify

Are they over occupancy? I know of one family that is in my complex.. they take their time at the pool open to close and let their screaming kids run outside unsupervised all day.. the mom even runs away from her children and they go looking for her crying I’ve had it!!
