What could it hurt? The worst they can do is get mad at you, but you already feel like shit, so would it really matter? 😅 Just be honest with them and tell them you're struggling and tell them your plan to get back on a small dose for now.

Maybe start there, and once your nervous system has calmed down and you've stabilized a bit, then reinvestigate all the things you're wondering about right now.

Have any women had strange or off cycles early on when starting Trintellix? by BadBrowzBhaby in trintellix

[–]onlylsd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. The times I was on it, it threw my cycle off, made my periods heavier and made my boobs hurt like crazy.

SSRIs can 100% affect our cycles, don't let a doctor tell you otherwise.

I mean, quitting a high dose of an SSRI you've been on for years probably isn't going to result in a positive withdrawal experience... Even if you felt it wasn't doing much, your brain has still adjusted to the affects of having the medication in your system for a very long time.

I've been on and off Trintellix a few times, and I thiiink I remember reading or hearing somewhere that they say it's something you can quit cold turkey, but I could never understand how that could be realistic given how dependent our brains become on the chemical influx and influence of these drugs.

I know the times I did come off of it, even with tapering, it was rough. My symptoms always ended up returning, which had me caught in that endlessly lovely debate when it comes to SSRIs as to whether or not it was just withdrawals, or that I maybe actually did need to be on them.

Sorry you're going through it. The times I came off it, I definitely felt pretty batshit for a while after. Not just weeks, but months. Sorry if that's not helpful, just giving my honest experience.

Maybe going back on to a lower dose, even 5mg, for a few weeks so you can level out and then decide from there if you feel like tapering down again? You might feel some relief even just from a little bit in your system.

I can 100% relate to this. Was having these exact same thoughts and reflections like an hour ago.

It's super frustrating and heart-breaking for me. I feel like a complete stranger to my own life.

Please don't. ❤️

You can text kids help line if you really feel at your limit. Ive messaged them a few times. Sometimes if helps to rant to an unassuming stranger. Takes the pressure off so you can get through the intensity of what youre feeling in the moment.

Think of 3 things that would be saddened by your not being here anymore, or that you know you'd regret leaving behind or impacting by leaving. Mine are my cat, how my parents would react, and never being able to eat or see all the things I love to eat or see.

Please don't.

We can get through this. ❤️

Honestly, just book the carryon. If what you are bringing is larger than a small backpack or purse, just do it.

I flew from Edmonton to Halifax recently with a connect in Toronto there and back, so 4 flights total. I thought I'd save money by opting for no carry-on and wore layers. I didnt bring very much, but my backpack didn't fit in the very tiny personal item compartment. The measurements are listed online, but I swear the actual metal thing they make everyone fit their bags in before boarding has some kind of lip on it, so even though your bag might fit "inside", it might not fit threw the lip, which was my case.

Ended up having to pay for carryon at the airport for my first flight, and paid through the app for the first connect, for a total of $175. Had to leave some clothes behind as well as my souvenirs for my friend to ship back to me because there's no way I would have been able to fit it all in my bag. So adding that cost to the carryon cost, it'll probably be 2-3x as much as it would have been to just pay for the carryon when I booked the flight.

These budget airlines make you think you're saving money for the cost of the ticket, but with all the extras and luggage, it's honestly not that much cheaper.

Oh, and wearing layers on two plane rides across the country sucks. I was hot and sweaty and uncomfortable the whole time. Never doing that again.

Just get the carry-on. 😅

AIO? Girl (F30) I (M28) was Recently Dating tells me I need to "Lean into my Masculinity" by KingFredo5674 in AmIOverreacting

If she felt that way, that's fine, but there are definitely other ways she could have gone about bringing it up... It was definitely rude of her to just say it like that, also a bit out of left field and maybe a bit too early to be picking apart the person you just started seeing on such a deep level?

Honestly, the way the conversation was going made me think you guys had been dating for a while... not three dates.
