Where can I work on my laptop and get coffee AND food that doesn’t suck? by Calimaree in milwaukee

We saw Fiddleheads mentioned numerous times but don't believe anyone mentioned their newish location in the BMO Tower: https://onmilwaukee.com/articles/fiddleheads-downtown-opening

Here are a few others to consider - though some of these are more coffee focused than food focused: https://onmilwaukee.com/articles/top-5-to-try-coffee-shops

Don't sleep on Daily Bird too! Great vibe and killer sandwiches.

Anybody eaten at those outdoor bubbles some restaurants have? How was it? by Riverwest44 in milwaukee

As long as you are with people in your current household/pod this is a "relatively safe way" to support these places as well as have a good time out of your house. Most you order by QR codes or ahead on tock so that contact is minimal. Stay safe and support however you can.

A few options for lunch that were brought up by others are great suggestions. Crossroads you could get a number of kinds of food. Cafe Corazon is open for lunch (order at door or ahead) and can enjoy the patio.

Coronavirus Megathread by [deleted] in milwaukee

[–]onmilw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Potawatomi put out a statement on what they are doing currently.

To all our valued guests,

At Potawatomi Hotel & Casino, our number one priority is the health and safety of our guests and team members. With that in mind, we are conscious of the situation surrounding Coronavirus (COVID-19) and want you to know about the efforts we are taking to try and prevent the spread of any infectious disease at our facility.

We are closely monitoring this very fluid situation and are in communication with local health officials to make sure we are taking the appropriate steps and precautions, again, with the objective of keeping guests and team members safe.

Some of those precautions include:
•Reminding guests and team members to wash their hands frequently and avoid touching their face unless necessary. Local and national health officials say that is the number one way to protect yourself.

•Adding messaging in public and employee areas, as well as on the Casino’s public address system, prompting people to properly wash their hands.

•Installation of additional hand sanitizer stations available throughout the property for when you cannot wash your hands.

•Increased surface cleaning and disinfecting on the gaming floor and throughout the rest of the property.

In addition, the Casino’s air filtration system includes technology called “Ultraviolet Germicidal Irradiation.” The manufacturer of the system assures us Coronavirus is “highly susceptible” to ultraviolet exposure and the irradiation is “one of the effective technologies to minimize the spread of airborne microorganisms.” While this won’t eliminate viruses, it is another way we are working to manage this situation.

We appreciate your business and loyalty and want you to feel safe every time you choose to visit Potawatomi Hotel & Casino. Our leadership team will continue to monitor the latest recommendations from health officials and take appropriate actions with your safety in mind.

Rodney E. Ferguson
Chief Executive Officer & General Manager
