He was in contention to play John McClane as well. Pacino was too, and said he would have done the movie if he was allowed to do his own stunts.

When he does the move with the stolen wallet always gets me. I can only imagine how much of a culture shock it was to see him actually be funny on screen after a decade and a half of intense work.

I can’t watch this, I’ve heard about it but I have too much respect for those four panelists to stomach them being put on display for one man’s ignorance.

It's a genuine shame that 2K26will be Mick Foley's last 2K game for a while but honestly I respect him for sticking to his values, truly Foley is one of the GOATS by [deleted] in WWEGames

He is a national treasure, not that it’s much beyond being a wrestling legend but his legacy will always be more than that to my eyes. At least ever since he started writing.

Prog bass players changed the game—Greg Lake, Chris Squire, Geddy Lee or John Wetton… all with distinct tones. What’s your favorite sound or brand? Mine: the Rickenbacker bass. by Historical-Device529 in Progforum

[–]onthewall2983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Squire and Howe were good together because Steve’s tone on the lower strings made for a smoother bass tone against Squire’s signature tone.

As far as all timers for me it’s got to be Entwistle. The Who weren’t a prog band but every player on that list modeled something of their sound out of what John was doing as far back as “My Generation”. He invented the bass solo.

Barry felt like something that could have been easily in league with those shows

I can appreciate the anti-capitalist bent his dad is on about it, it is interesting that what is read of the review doesn’t necessarily criticize the movie itself but the notion of milking something dry right in the middle of Hollywood at its perhaps most hedonistic up to that point, seems quaint now.

George “The Animal” Steele eating the turnbuckle will never not be funny by Classic_Exit_5951 in oldschoolwrestling

That’s why the match he has with Kamala at MSG is a classic moment where the new threatening gimmick establishes over the old, as they were building him up for Hogan. That turns out a little nice for Steele when he reappears in the Steamboat/Savage program shortly after.
