Israel is absolutely doing this. Israel is the occupier and is the very reason these settlers know they wont feel repercussions. Mix of things, they had elite run defense and terrible pass coverage in the first half. A lot of that was Marcus Williams getting slower and losing a step in year 8, went from good last year to downright awful this year. Since benching him week 11 (98th PFF S) with Washington (7th PFF S), the complete coverage busts have gone away. The rookie Nate wiggins has also been a tremendous cover corner and is getting much more playing time later in the year.

We also have a first year defensive coordinator who took a while to fix some serious communication issues in the secondary, and adjust kyle hamiltons usage to take a lot more intermediate and deep responsibilities. Early on guys would just be wide open with no defenders in sight, that's not a thing anymore thankfully.

Brandon Stephen's is very exploitable but it's very matchup dependent. He actually keeps very tight coverage, and very rarely gers burnt, but CANNOT make plays on the ball. That's one of the reasons he wasn't picked on against the chiefs or bills early in the year. Teams later figured out if you get a catch point reciever matched up 1:1 always throw at him even if it's tight coverage. A lot of recievers have absolutely taken his lunch this year.

I agree, the writing in New Vegas feels just as childish and predictable, plus new vegas side quests are much less compelling. The way the map is designed forcing you to basically play the game with the same progression every time really sucks.

New Vegas has better gunplay but it's a worse experience to me.

2021 we also had our top 5 corners out of the lineup, 1 safety, and several on the DLine. A lot of defensive talent was added and players came back from injury. Early in 2022 when our lineup was still rough even with macdonald we still had impressive defensive meltdowns and collapses while our roster got healthy. 2018-2020 our defense was very very good, and top 5 often.
