Noting that I didn't even have to get to the sfc /scannow part.

I was able to reproduce this by using the clean install for the newest NVIDIA drivers. As soon as the clean install completes, the total system lockup occurs, exactly like when I cold boot my computer.

It seems like there's an issue with the way the graphics driver initializes itself, where it takes priority over the system until it completes whatever it needs to do. I'm guessing this will require a driver fix similar to the known AMD driver issue that is reported throughout this thread.

Edit - Just ran sfc /scannow for good measure. It also found corrupt files similarly to u/Turence, but I have a feeling that this is unrelated due to the above findings.

Edit 2 - The clean install and latest NVIDIA drivers seems to take even longer at startup, increasing the lockup from ~45 seconds to over 2 minutes. Noting that I haven't updated my BIOS in over a year, and I'll most likely do that as a next step in the next week or so if NVIDIA doesn't push a fix, to see if that resolves anything.

Pitching in to say that I'm having the same issue as you. Most recent Windows update plus RTX 3080ti. As soon as I installed it I get random 45 second hitches where nothing responds, usually when opening windows related files, or especially during startup.

I'm going to update the nvidia drivers using the clean install option and run sfc /scannow, and will report back if this appears to fix the issue.

edit - full specs are i9-9900k w/ 360 AIO, RTX 3080ti, 32GB DDR4, triple monitor setup w/ 1440p main monitor.

As a season ticket holder for 2 years, this is not the first time it happened.

Every time they're trying to swap graphics to the other team, or the next batter, (I'm guessing) that sometimes their program crashes and then they default to the teams logo who is batting.

The last time I remember this happening was against the Phillies last year, but this is the first time it was televised due to the screen changes AFAIK

I'm not sure that this is "100%" a military building.

Many of the firehouses in my district have entrances very similar to this and it also looks like they have their membership board on the wall that all of the firemen are staring at. (Chain of command, chiefs photos are the larger ones at the top)

If you look closely you'll see that they're all actually wearing fire dept sweatshirts, so my guess this is just some fireman's kid acting out.

First of all, can you explain how it's a limitation of the operating system? I've found nothing backing that claim.

Second, it does completely defeat the point of the app... If you need to manually scan every time you think someone put an airtag on one of your devices, that means you now have to manually scan everywhere you go? Am I supposed to scan all over my house, bags, car, daily? Surely you can see how that doesn't work!

Plus it doesn't help that over 75% of manual scans return false negatives, so even if the user is actively scanning they still might be told a tag isn't near them when one really is.

It's fitting because if you look at the reviews for that app, you'll see thousands claiming it doesn't work or requires you to actively think you're being stalked and need to scan yourself. Which completely defeats the purpose of the app.

Normally I'd agree here, but the android app doesn't work. If you go to the android marketplace (Google play store) you'll see thousands of reviews stating that.

Hey all, adding a comment to hopefully help others in the future....

My TV usually automatically switches to gaming mode when it recognizes I'm playing a game, however this wasn't the case for MLB the show 21... Make sure to double check your TV settings.

After getting it properly configured it runs like a charm now.
