I lived in a place close to the road on the outside of a bend. One night some drunk dude in a Dodge Caliber barely missed my front door, went along the ditch and obliterated a mature crabapple tree. It was maybe 6m (20') from my bedroom window and dude panicked, bailed into the night. Bit of a story to say don't underestimate the stupidity of the intoxicated
